It's almost as if a unified currency across a dozen countries with different economies is a bad idea. Oh, and big surprise Germany is the one shouting for this, since it keeps Greece their biatch.

Yes... Michigan should have its own currency so we can devalue it like a mofo and entice people with lots of money to live in this shiathole.

This and Germany is pretty much the only country in the Eurozone doing pretty well right now and their kind of sick of this shiat.

Why would Germany want Greece as their biatch? It's more like a redheaded stepchild -- who the fark would WANT them around? Greece has nothing to offer Germany. Germany will never have a positive return on all that money.

No...that's not it.

Do a google search for "German White Pony".

Then go and prepare some thank you flowers for any WWII vets you might know.

Feel free to stop watching before he takes a crap in one of their mechanically pried open eyes.

I want to point out that this isn't a jingoistic post in any way.  I firmly believe that worse occurs on a regular basis in your parent's bedroom every evening.  It IS however indicative of what you called "German Style".

Me too....one in particular needed two martinis to start, and then wanted some very hard greek austerity.  Then she'd go to the ATM, if you know what I mean...

German style is more when your partner (gender doesn't matter) pushes you to the ground, pees on you while chanting 'house on fire, house on fire, put it out, put it out," then forces you to drink anti-freeze until you pass out.  Then you wake up in excruciating pain with a size 7 poop-chute.

aka Germany has decided it doesn't want Europe to be rlevant any more.

There will be bailout, just like in the US where the Northern states bailout the corporate/government welfare loving South.

Almost as bad an idea as a unified currency across fifty states with different economies, amirite?

/don't worry, that will be changing in the name of "progress" soon enough
//those who refuse to see money for what it is will never be able to operate an economy
///they are, however, exceptionally effective at preventing anyone else from making the economy work by demanding sequesters when they don't get their way just because they're the President

What outside commentators don't realise is that countries within the EU had their currencies locked to each other anyway, mostly. When your largest trading partner is Germany, then you'd lock your currency to the Deutchmark. The presence of the Euro has changed nothing in that respect.

Also you're implying that the Euro is somehow the cause of Greeces problems. It is not, in anyway.

Greece had access to cheap loans, which they abused. That's all.

Not a valid comparison.  The ECB controls monetary policy, but fiscal policy is still 95% in the hands of the member states.
