What is Russia going to do when, not if, we attack Syria?

Anyone got any solid information?

/fair skinned, need to order SPF 100,000 if this goes sideways?

Any Pie Left: The fastest way to handle this would be for Assad to realize he's in imminent. very. personal. danger.  Watching his car explode, just minutes before he was supposed to get in it, might do.

As long as he has a way out.

We should NOT intervene for one reason and one reason only. Sunni Caliphate.
ASSad is a murderous tyrant but as bad as he is, folks like him are just a small handful of folks left that stands in the way of total Sunni/Wahabism domination of the ME. THAT is NOT a good thing.
It will so come back and bite us in the @$$!! If not us for sure our children and our children's children!

I thought for sure FARK detectives would be trying to ID the rockets that look like DIY rebel rockets. I'm intrigued. A couple folks are REALLY into figuring it out.

Is that SUPPOSED to be the "rocket" that delivered the poison gas?

Because it looks like something that some 14 year-old Palestinian kids would have cobbled together to fire at Israel.

You know, the kind that typically blows up a couple of square yards of dirt in some remote Israeli field, causing "mass casualties" in the form of panic and asthma attacks.

Pretty interesting stuff. And today it was reported that the UN left them at the sites, not there to place blame or some such shiat.

Why would they need to do that?

The US and Israel decided who they were going to blame long before they launched the attack.

Oh thats cute you've discovered a meme! How incredibly witty of you. But in all seriousness are you suggesting we just bend over because the world's largest third world country is tossing around even more passive aggressive shiat? And furthermore that we should just sit by as men women and children are attacked with neurotoxin? I don't care if you sympathize with their side or not aside from the obvious moral difficulty of allowing a thing like that to happen to anyone, it is also in clear contravention of the Geneva convention are we supposed to just let that slide? I didn't support Iraq it was bullshiat and anyone with half a brain knew it but this shiat is really happening right now. So take your cynical smart ass shiat and blow it out your ass. Jesus your are like a douchebag to the third power. Get off your mom's computer before she catches you looking at the tranny porn and grounds you.

Russia still has nukes and methods to deliver them in a short amount of time, some of those methods are completely untouchable before launch. You really should pay more attention to the state of things before you type. The Cold War is over but the weapons are still out there.

2013-08-27 12:56:58 AM
I don't think we're going to get involved, and I don't think we should either. Russia knows we shouldn't, and the administration knows we shouldn't. Russia is just using this as an opportunity to make Obama look weak. And he'll just have to take it on the chin, because we're not in the position to go warring.

At least this is my opinion. Granted I don't know very much on this subject.

Begun, the Muslim Thirty Years' War has.

There's battle lines being drawn, and nobody's right if everybody's wrong.

A plague o' both their houses.

Both sides hate our guts.  Syria is not worth a single hair on an American soldier's head.  Ditto Egypt.  Let them go on killing each other until they get it through their heads that maybe just leaving each other alone might work better.

And if they want Sharia law, let them have it in spades, hearts, clubs and diamonds.  Let them stew in it until they get it through their heads that it is not the utopia that the Qur'an thumpers promised.

It's actually kind of dicey for Turkey to roll in, given that they'd be rolling into land currently held by the Kurds. Turkey and the Kurds have... history.
