can we have a Derp tag for sites like these?

That seemed to be less of an article and more of an advertisement for one of their tinfoil-hat books.

I was unaware that WND had 'articles' that weren't advertisements for sub-standard, overpriced toilet paper.

I don't really know who is to blame. You've got Republican politicians and Republican media types all trying to enrich themselves by peddling indignation 24/7, and you've got the people who lap it up.

The trouble is that for all of them it is more important for there to be indignation directed at their opponents than for the indignation to be in any way objectively justified - so you end up with a less and less objective group.

Since I won't click WND links, and knowing the liberties we here take in our thread headers, is MSNBC mentioned in the article?

Wise choice, my friend, but the headline is a repeat of the actual article headline. However, the first sentence reveals all:

"MSNBC seems to have a new obsession - painting the growing movement to impeach President Obama as fringe. "

2013-08-25 01:59:55 PM
"WND first reported on the booming movement in July, and now it claims it has mushroomed to 40,000 members to become "the largest grassroots movement in the nation" in the few weeks since it was launched in June."

Thanks. I'm beginning to think that Republican attempts to impeach Democratic Presidents means the President will become more popular.

Yeah, without having RTFA, my thought was it was gonna be something along the lines of 'MSNBC insists on reporting about all the Republicans publicly calling for impeachment, therefore it's MSNBC that's obsessed with impeachment.'

That's right, guys.  All you have to do is shut down the government, default on the national debt, and impeach Obama for presidenting while black.

THEN you'll have an American Ayn Rand utopia complete with a thousand year Republican supermajority.

indefinite wikipedia ban for author Aaron Klein's account

From his talk page:

At the time of Klein's edit warring block and ultimate indefinite block, the account was already under scrutiny as a sockpuppet of Klein, and was well-warned of that. Klein's account of the incident, if you compare it to the edit history, is clearly disingenuous. Manufacturing a controversy on Wikipedia so you can write about it as if it happened to someone else is not innocent behavior - it's against Wikipedia's rules, and it's not legitimate or even ethical journalism. In this case there happens to be some reliably sourced news about the hoax, something that Klein only brought on himself by perpetrating then promoting it.

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) joined with a handful of other Republican politicians Wednesday, warning the President that his impeachment could be near.
According to Tulsa World, at a convention in Muskogee, Okla., Coburn said Wednesday that the president was "getting perilously close" to the Constitutional standard for impeachment. He also called the Obama administration lawless and incompetent, the news site reported...

Earlier this week Michigan Rep. Kerry Bentivolio told constituents at a townhall that it would be a "dream come true" if he could write and submit the bill to impeach the president...

Last week, Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) kicked off the impeachment debate, declaring that the House had enough votes to make the notion a reality...

A majority of Maine Republicans support impeaching Obama...

Andy Harris (R-MD) Town Hall Erupts With Calls For Impeachment...

Former Arkansas governor and GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee predicted, "This president will not fill out his full term..."

But yeah, it's MSNBC that's 'obsessed' with impeachment.

Honestly, I don't think the House ever will impeach. Boehner won't let it come to a vote. And I think every single GOP Congressman knows that. They also know that the more they whinge and moan and rage about impeachment, the more they can whip their base into a frenzy. Heading into 2014 and '16, they can go back home and tell their foaming-at-the-mouth teabagger constituents that they tried nightly to get the usurper impeached, but the 'GOP elites' just wouldn't let it happen, and besides the Senate would just vote against it, but if they re-take the Senate THEN they can impeach.

You can tell ballot petition and primary season is nigh, as every GOP lawmaker elected "as a regular-folks, outside-the-beltway common man who hates career politicians" is utterly, abjectly terrified of losing his sweeeet gig to Clovis Q. Tudball and his platform of "Reduce taxes to zero, then invade Russia, Chiner and that there North Korea, and close all schools that use textbooks other than the Bible and the book adaptation of 'The Christmas Sweater.'"

Fixing things is hard, you have to like have solutions and may have to do like unpopular things.

However complaining and putting yourself on the worlds largest cross is easy as pie!

Why do I have a feeling that WND started off by asking why the lamestream LSM media refused to talk about the growing movement for impeachment?  Now they're claiming that the lamestream LSM media are conspiring to make the impeachment movement look like kooks.  Later, they'll claim that the lamestream LSM media invented the whole idea that there was an impeachment movement in the first place.

I'm just basing that on their various complaints about the birther movement.
