Real way to narrow it down. From the symptom list it could be anything from carbon monoxide poisoning to fentanyl, which we've seen getting passed around your streets as common heroin.

It's probably in the same class of drugs that the "legal marijuana" fall in to.. Which is just god knows what chemicals sprayed on potpourri leaves.. The chemicals change constantly as they keep banning ingredients to get it off the streets.

It's bath salts. I was in Effington (or Effingham if you want to be technical or don't listen to Ben Folds) about 2 weeks ago and the chief of police didn't know anything about it. When I got home I sent him a link to Wikipedia. He emailed me back saying how amazed he was w/ all that information. He hadn't heard of Wikipedia either.

That's always the most important question when some story like this appears, but it is often not answered.  It sounds like one of those fake marijuana things like Spice or K2 so it probably came out of a factory in China.

Fark that shiat,  If you can't get real pot or you get piss tested for it at work, just don't even try.  Drink booze like the government wants you to.  At least you know you won't die from it (as long as you're careful)

I'm getting flashbacks of warnings about "strawberry meth". Sure, like someone is going to procure the ingredients, make the meth and then ruin the batch with fun flavors on the off chance that your eight year-old has enough money and desire to get tweaked to make it worthwhile. shiat still pops up on facebook here and there, people are gullible as shiat if you play the "omg, the CHILDREN!" angle.

I'm with you on this. While this drug may be dangerous, a Sheriff's Department press release is not a trusted source of facts on drug effects. Sad, but police squandered that opportunity in the 80's with DARE.

You'd still have idiots doing this fake stuff, I'm sure weed is easy enough to come by. I'm all for idiots offing themselves with synthetic drugs like this.

2013-08-25 11:26:27 AM
Maybe we should just take a page from New Zealand and just regulate these new synthetic cannabinoids and cathinone derivatives. At least you'd get some safety information on this shiat and know what goes into it instead of smoking/snorting god knows what.

http://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/regulation-health-and-disability- sy stem/psychoactive-substances/interim-product-approvals

Basically every approval is for just a few actual ingredients.

I would be more pissed to find my daughter with some kind of powder or fake bud sprayed with god knows what than I would to catch her with a joint.  Come to think of it, I'd rather catch her with a joint than a bottle of vodka, or even a cigarette.  Seriously, kids out there, if you MUST get high, PLEASE just go get a bag of weed.  It's the safest stuff around.

NUVIGIL may cause serious side effects including a serious rash or a serious allergic reaction that may affect parts of your body such as your liver or blood cells, and may result in hospitalization and be life-threatening. If you develop a skin rash, hives, sores in your mouth, blisters, swelling, peeling, or yellowing of the skin or eyes, trouble swallowing or breathing, dark urine, or fever, stop taking NUVIGIL and call your doctor right away or get emergency help.

25 years ago I used to see ads in High Times for fake pot and I thought it was just some bullshiat that wouldn't get you high so I never tried them.  Now I hear news stories about fake pot sold under the guise of incense and I believe it will get you high, but not in a good way and it doesn't seem safe at all.

Times have changed, haven't they?

Attention Citizen

The following should be added to your list of Things to be Scared Of:

'Crazy Clown' - an unidentified, possibly plant-based, substance that gives the smoker every kind of bad side effect ever documented, including death.  If you find anything that might be 'Crazy Clown' report it to authorities and the media in as frantic and irrational a manner as possible.

Remember, fear is safety and safety is good citizenship.  We're all in this together.

Fine, except that not everyone has the same metabolism. Just because it was 'meh' with the reviewer doesn't mean that some kid trying it won't end up in the emergency room hooked up to a life support system.
