So you register with a website... to delete yourself from the Internet?

Do you register? Looked like just a dashboard of links to the various web sites' deletion pages.

Ah, I remember the heady days of Usenet - go to see what posts were on alt.beer and see the posts by the person demanding "remove me from your list!!! [insert dire threat to sue the Usenet]" about the alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.bestiality.hamster.duct-tape newsgroup they had told their news reader to download.

Yes, that's right. You want to have all your personal information removed from the internet for your security? Just give me alllll your logins and passwords. Here, I've created this convenient web portal. Just type them all into these nifty little boxes.

This one looks like it's more of a dashboard however...it doesn't handle deleting the accounts, but points you in the right direction.  Kind of neat reading the descriptions on mouse-over....especially on how certain sites respond to account deletion requests (Steam for example: "Just don't use the account.").

Boy I must be really boring/smart/whatever because I have only registered with four of those sites.

When in the registration process do I need to submit a picture of my penis for the image scrubbing service?

Well in the quest to get Boobies, I see none of the above have actually read the article or even visited his site.  It's a collection of DIRECT LINKS to the unsubscribe/delete/remove pages for various popular web services.  There is no registration or requirement to submit your information to access this information.

My mom is way too big to disappear from anywhere.

I don't see the point of deleting your account from most of those sites, just stop using them. If you're worried about credit card fraud, it's a lot easier to just get a new card issued.

^Yah. I know I have like a half dozen vendor sites I've had accounts with in years past, but ultimately only ever bought ONE thing from. I've had so much turnover on debit and credit cards, the only thing they can get out of me (passively) now is maybe my address, and more likely one from 2-3 moves ago.

I know I can still be found by someone who really wants to try, but at least they have to make the effort now.

That's the beauty of it.  It's deep in a shallow way.
