I don't care what you say, subby.  Nobody plays the "lovable idiot" better than Chris Klein.

Tom Selleck would have made a good Indiana Jones, IMO.

Sure Kurt Russell probably wouldn't have been good as Han Solo, but Harrison Ford would have sucked as Jack Burton so it all evens out.

He was so bad in that Chun Li movie it was good.  Well, the whole movie was bad, but he was the standout.

I didn't know until I watched the screen test. IT would have probably worked, the character would have been remarkably similar to Ford's.

Yeah, Russell would have been an interesting Han Solo, he looked good there. But yeah, I can't see anyone who has ever existed playing Jack Burton better.

Russell came across as a wide-eyed youngster. Ford played Han as if he wasn't surprised by an entire planet being destroyed, but he was annoyed by it. We didn't need two Lukes in that movie.

"Not as much luck for poor Jeremy Sisto. After starring in Clueless, the young actor gave a fairly decent, less feminine take on the part of Jack. "

"Starring?"

Y'know, based on that clip, Josh Hutcherson would've been a pretty good Spidey. Better than that cardboard cutout Garfield.

Auugh!  My browser died just when I was about to post a reply.

So, fark it.

Summary:

1:  Scarlett Johannsen looked really cute and probably would have fit in well in Jumanji
2:  Brando also could have been a good lead in Rebel Without A Cause
3:  Who the fark is Chris Klein and WTF is Mamma Mia?  Don't tell me, I don't give a shiat.
4:  Barbara Feldon is the only woman who can ever play 99.  I don't care how hot Jessica Alba is there can only be one Barbara Feldon
5:   Tom Selleck would have made a really funny Indy Jones. Harrison Ford was the right choice
6:  Kurt Russel would have made a really funny Han Solo, Harrison Ford was the right choice.

I don't care about Spiderman or Backdraft or Titanic.

Choosing between James Caan and Robert DeNiro is really tough.  Both of them are great actors and can play bad asses when asked to do so.

I do have to wonder what the actors think when they get turned down for a role especially when they see some other actor nail it and the movie becomes a huge success.  Are they bitter?  Do they applaud the performance of the other actor?  It probably depends on the actor and the movie.

I don't know, he seemed really loud and spastic. Ford played that scene a lot cooler and more of a cold hearted bastard. "Yeah I may have statutorily raped you 10 years ago but get over it, here's a shiatload of money for 1936, give the piece ".

Why didn't Selleck just break his contract? Sure they would have sued him but it would have been worth it in the long run. I mean I'm glad he didn't but that's what I would have done. Unless breaking contracts blacklists you or something.

Has anyone else seen Kristen Stewarts many audition tapes? They are hard to get ahold of, being some of the acts performed are illegal to tape in many jurisdictions and are not usually covered as having artistic merit.

My theory: Pierce Brosnan's audition for Mamma Mia came immediately after Chris Klein's.

Keep in mind that Ford probably didn't play Indy 100% as he read it the first time, either. That's what I was saying, i saw a lot of similarities, but not exactly the same. I'm still happier that Ford took the role, and the overall movie and character probably wouldn't have been half as memorable with Selleck.

As far as breaking the contract, I don't know about black listing, but I don't think it was a mistake to keep it. He did pretty well with Magnum, getting just as directly associated with his character as Ford did with Indy. I think it worked well for all involved. I'm, not normally a Tom Selleck fan, but Magnum, P.I. was awesome, and I can't really picture anyone else filling that as well.

I never knew he tested with Sean Young. She would have been an interesting Marion. Funny how she wound up in Blade Runner with Ford.
