Dennis Miller playing state fair cow palaces now?
Seems about right.

Miller, Carvey, and Nealon playing a state fair in Minnesota? That's the joke right?

That's quite a write-up, I'd say it's one of those "you had to be there" situations, but I doubt that's true either.

I stopped reading when the author couldn't even get the headline right. It's "Live, from New York, it's Saturday Night!"

Sounds like a great time!!

Carvey also did impressions of his parents, his teenage sons, Sean Connery, a drunk pilot on Ireland's Aer Lingus and his cardiologist of Indian descent. Just as the 58-year-old seemed to be hitting his stride, his set came to an end.

Jesus Christ, that sounds so unfunny it made me forget funny things I once knew

It was a veritable funesia, if you will.  Did you forget the funny things faster than a mammularly challenged Punky Brewster showing up with an 8-ball of coke on the set of Blossom?

I think there was a reason that the seats were empty. This guy seems to be unsure what "funny" actually means.

FTFA: Then when Miller, America's most intellectual right-wing comic, started cutting up Vice President Biden, he quipped: "I don't hear Al laughing anymore."

I can think of another reason he wasn't laughing.

That's right - Hitler.

Dana Carvey at a state fair?  Yes please.  That would be fun as hell.

Dennis Miller at a state fair?  I suppose I could always throw my battered stick of butter at him.

2 Hasbeens and a never was. That's either the saddest night of comedy or the GOP presidential debates!

That is a weak line by Miller. It doesn't even make sense.

Should've gone with "last time someone played in front of this much green, they had George Lucas directing them."

"The last time someone played in front of this much green, it was wearing a dirndl and had Von Trapp Family Singers stamped on its suitcase."

Ah, the Minnesota State Fair- where 'veritable' is a big word.

Yeah.  Hard to pick which is sadder:  These three performing a cow-palace show, or a writer who felt the need to kiss Dennis Miller's ass.

I do not understand local media sites that don't reference their location at the top of the page or in the name. Minnesotans know the web is global, right? That this isn't a local intranet?

It kinda does being that Yaz was the left fielder who stood in front of the Green Monster.
Still not funny though

Well it doesn't in the idea, that its not like Yaz was the last left fielder ever or anything. More that Miller makes dated references because he's old and out of touch.

Funny, was just looking at my old Yaz cards...

\pretty sure I own all of his original run of cards
\\even the '63 Fleer
\\\and, of course, the 1973 card with the big sideburns...which were bigger on the '74 card
