(Battle Creek Enquirer)   You sent $350 to get a pet monkey from Cameroon and it didn't arrive. Who would have guessed?   (battlecreekenquirer.com) divider line 23

Reminds me of the time I spent $1.25 on some sea monkeys and got brine shrimp instead.

Sea Monkeys are awesome!  They require next to no care and breed and do sea monkey dances.  I used to have them on my desk at work before tragedy struck when a co-worker picked them up and spilled them.  It was the great Sea Monkey massacre of '09.

But an actual primate - you shouldn't be keeping one of those as a pet unless you know WTF you're doing.

You were supossed to pick up your monkey Carl.  It wasn't being shipped directly to you, you had to get him from the air port.

You could have paid $350 to buy a monkey at a local pet store, and I would STILL be hoping you lose your money.

Not ending up with a f*cking monkey in your house is the best possible outcome to this.

It's entirely possible that the sellers made a reasonable profit on a fairly priced monkey, shipped it as requested, but when it died en route some postal worker between Cameroon and the USA threw out the rotting carcass. Wouldn't you?

While not getting the monkey and being out $350 might suck, at least she didn't get the package with the bobcat in it.
