So spring for a decent vaporizer, you cheap bastard.

Wow.

And if you are burning 12 joints a day you have a problem or you are smoking bad weed.

As someone said buy a vaporizer.

I smoke two joints in the morning, I smoke two joints at night
I smoke two joints in the afternoon, it makes me feel alright
I smoke two joints in time of peace, and two in time of war
I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints, and then I smoke two more

I understand he has a problem, but inhaling burning smoke, can cause a myriad of other problems, and unless there is some chemical reaction from incinerating weed that helps him, he could vaporize or make pot brownies.

That's between him and his doctors, no? The incredible thing is that he's one of the most closely documented weed smokers and he's doing fine.

It makes me wonder, how does one procure marijuana when one lives in a place where it's illegal?  I mean, I'm all about trying some, but I don't hang with junkies, so it's not like I know where to get the stuff.

Did they have vaporizers back in 1982?  I imagine having 100's of bone tumors would be more harmful than anything you smoke.

Marijuana addiction is no joking matter.  My brother was tested at age 5, he had an insane genius IQ.  Growing up, he wanted to be a cardiologist.  One of the ivy league colleges was actually interested in him by the time he was 15, even willing to let him enroll in courses at that time.  But he opted to wait until he was 18 because he didn't want to stick out in the crowd.

His senior year of high school, one of his buddies offered him a marijuana cigarette -- I kid you not, it was all over from there.  Within a year he dropped out of school, gained 50 lbs and did nothing but spend all day on the Internet and playing video games.

A few years later and he lives with our parents, has no job and still does nothing but play video games and spend all day online.

And we want to legalize this?

So, because a single study claims to have found an association between waist size and marijuana use, that suddenly means my brother didn't gain weight?

Also, waist circumference is not the same as body mass.  I didn't say my brother went from a size 29 waist to a size 40 waist.

I feel you. My sister was tested at age 4 and they concluded that she was a hopeless imbecile. She claps a lot and licks random pieces of furniture, so I can only assume that she wants to be an enthusiastic carpenter. I smoke weed sometimes and wonder about what could have been...

So far as I know, anyone can petition the FDA to reschedule a drug (Marinol - THC - entered the mix as a Schedule 2 and was reduced to a Schedule 3 substance).  Cannabis would remain illegal but, if nothing else, `marijuana' could FINALLY be allowed Federal OK to receive funding for research  (purposely suppressed - diverted into `research' where the results met the sponsor's specs - for decades/I leave it to farkers to get the list of research papers that have been submitted from U.Miss. Federal Pot Farm - a real hotbed of cutting edge, tax payer funded, bullshiat).

I completely disagree.  The best kind of trolls are those that are factually correct in the right context, but outside of said context or in practice, completely fall apart.  For instance, an argument such as drugs are a horrible drain on society, marijuana is a drug.  It's not up for argument, marijuana is a drug, as are thousands or millions of other compounds.  And drugs, in the context of many illegal or abused narcotics, can certainly be a drain on society, both in cost of enforcing the laws against them and in the cost of lives/money wasted by those who use/abuse them.  Put those two facts together though, and plenty of people will bite.  And you know that's true.  People read between the lines and interpret the subtext, implied or not, as being what they perceive as "the other side"'s argument.  Online, people simply need a bad guy to wage war against.
