I've never heard of isabelle lightwood, and while the video was too long and only slightly funny, it did introduce me to a fine set of GIS pics and something new to download, so there's that.

And moments later I realize that I was in a thread discussing city of bones just 24 hours ago, and feel like a moron.

Ah well.

City of bones.. never heard of it... sounds like a Twatlight hack.

I agree with your sentiment.  Oh wait,  I'm doing it wrong:

THIS.

I only made it 13 seconds.

Was that actually going somewhere or was it just a poorly disguised promo piece for that stupid looking movie that's coming out soon?

To be fair, it's good to see a dad honor his lost bet with grace and dignity rather than begging for the terms to be changed so he doesn't have to dress as a drag queen for one night.

Props. Wish more men could be like him.

I have two normal, yet slightly nerdy, sons in high school.  We saw most of the HP movies as they came out, read all the books, watch a ton of the comic book movies, enjoy NuWho---and none of us have heard of this "Mortal Tools" thing.

I'm guessing it's a girl-driven fantasy/nerd series, correct?

Yes. In the shudderlingly accurately named genre "teen paranormal romance."  You read that correctly.  It's a genre now.  Go to any book store and ask where the "teen paranormal romance" section is.  They'll have one.

I was sure I'd seen the idea of rune tattoos before, then I remembered the  Patryn in The Death Gate Cycle, done in the early 90's/

I'm so glad I don't have daughters.  I used up all my understanding of women landing my wife.

Pretty much this. All the whiners can DIAF. The guy is obviously willing to do anything for his daughter. It's almost impossible to sync up a kid anywhere from 11-2 to 18 who actually WANTS to hang with their parents with a parent that's this willing to give his girl some bonding time. Good for him.
