Probably has to do with 'free apps' that install 3 search bars and change every other search to Yahoo as well.

Yahoo! also has a pretty good hold on Fantasy Football which is starting up right now.

RDixon: I've been wasting quite a lot of time playing slotomania on yahoo lately.

And I quit using Google over 6 months ago.

Everything google is banned on this box.

Why. The. FARK?

What is the enjoyment of a virtual slot machine? Why not just run a random number generator once and call it a day?

Yahoo is relying on homepage hijackers and toolbars to get these numbers.  I got burned by SearchProtect, which came alongside a uTorrent update.  It changed and kept everything pointing to Yahoo, until I found and killed it.
So this is their new marketing idea, huh?  Don't try to be better legitimately, steal traffic through any shady means possible.

Coincidentally, Yahoo! recently started embedding images of its CEO on targeted Yahoo! websites.

Offog: What I suspect is that Yahoo is systematically  multiplying legitimate page views.  When I click on a Yahoo news story the back key becomes useless, because the page reloads about 100 times in the minute it takes to read the story.

I farking hate that shiat.  It should be treated as a DOS attack.

And, also, you should be able throw molotov cocktails at the perpetrator.

JPSimonetti: Everytime anyone I've known has been legitimately hacked not just left their password on a post-it note somewhere, it has been a Yahoo! email account. Every. Single. Time. Always from another country (as their access history shows). Even with 2-step authentication. This exploit their using (I believe it has to do with their android app) has been around for years and they haven't bothered with it. So, f*** Yahoo!.

/gmail since we were passing out beta invites over TotalFark years ago.

My telco went with Yahummmm several years ago so that now when mail is toast it's .  .  .  well, you know, it's yahoonanigans.
Cute ad's can't make up for a crappy site.  At least that's what I teach my students.
