Oh good.

2013-08-21 04:10:22 PM
Perhaps he should form a committee to discover who's been respecting whose views...

The thing I like about Ted Cruz is he's a real american.  He doesn't hide his heritage behind some nickname, he goes by Ted an all american name.  I mean Barry, excuse me Barack HUSSIEN fartbongo tried to hide his heritage his whole life. Unlike the patriot Ted Cruz.  I mean it's not like he has some name like Rafeal or some other foreign name he is trying to hide from people.  He also completely codifies his roots and doesn't hide his fathers role in over throwing those dirty cubans.

Ted Cruz a real american for real americans.

Boy howdy, those stoopid Libbylibs are absolutely pants-shiattingly TERRIFIED of this here Cruz feller!  I daresay he sounds like Presidential timber to me!

"You know, part of the First Amendment is about respecting the views of others."

And this guy wants to be President?  And a bunch of morans who probably understand the first amendment even less than he does would vote for him too.

hahaha...  wait does he even know what the first amendment says?

The First Amendment says what they want it to say.

Section one of the Charter confirms rights are guaranteed. It also contains the reasonable limits clause which is to what he is referring to in this case. It can be used to prevent objectionable conduct like saying bad things about Ted Cruz.

As officers removed the protesters, the crowd responded by drowning them out with chants of "USA! USA! USA!"

*Sigh* of course they did.

So Ted Cruz is claiming that giving more people health care is going to take away their health care.  Brilliant!

I bet his plan involves old people dying faster.

Remember: Part of "free speech" is the freedom of rich, powerful and/or connected pieces of filth like Ted Cruz to have people arrested for speaking.

Just a reminder, he sounds like an idiot in public, but he is scary smart. He knows how to throw out red meat for the base, yet talk to the behind the scenes guys. From teh wiki:

Cruz joined the Bush-Cheney campaign in 1999 as a domestic policy adviser, advising President George W. Bush on a wide range of policy and legal matters, including civil justice, criminal justice, constitutional law, immigration, and government reform.
Cruz assisted in assembling the Bush legal team, devise strategy, and draft pleadings in the Florida and U.S. Supreme Courts during the 2000 Florida presidential recounts, winning twice in the U.S. Supreme Court.
Cruz has authored more than 80 United States Supreme Court briefs and presented 43 oral arguments, including nine before the United States Supreme Court.[3][19][17] Cruz's record of having argued before the Supreme Court nine times is more than any practicing lawyer in Texas or any current member of Congress.[40] Cruz has commented on his nine cases in front of the U.S. Supreme Court: "We ended up year after year arguing some of the biggest cases in the country. There was a degree of serendipity in that, but there was also a concerted effort to seek out and lead conservative fights."[40]
In the landmark case of District of Columbia v. Heller, Cruz drafted the amicus brief signed by attorneys general of 31 states, which said that the D.C. handgun ban should be struck down as infringing upon the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.[17][41] Cruz also presented oral argument for the amici states in the companion case to Heller before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.[17][42]
In addition to his victory in Heller, Cruz has successfully defended the constitutionality of Ten Commandments monument on the Texas State Capitol grounds before the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court, winning 5-4 in Van Orden v. Perry.[19][17][33]
Cruz authored a U.S. Supreme Court brief for all 50 states successfully defending the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools, winning 9-0 in Elk Grove Unified School District v. Newdow.[19][33]
Cruz served as lead counsel for the state and successfully defended the multiple litigation challenges to the 2003 Texas congressional redistricting plan in state and federal district courts and before the U.S. Supreme Court, winning 5-4 in League of United Latin American Citizens v. Perry.[43][33]
Cruz also successfully defended, in Medellin v. Texas, the State of Texas against an attempt by the International Court of Justice to re-open the criminal convictions of 51 murderers on death row throughout the United States.[3][19][17][33]
Cruz has been named by American Lawyer magazine as one of the 50 Best Litigators under 45 in America,[44][39] by The National Law Journal as one of the 50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America,[45][46] and by Texas Lawyer as one of the 25 Greatest Texas Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century.[47][48]

He was actually correct, in this context.  Shouting down someone you disagree with is not "part of the first amendment"  Allowing both to speak in turn is correct.

/Ted Cruz is a giant douche

I think he's a pretty good politician in the context of running for office in Texas.  The Dewhurst primary was no gimme.  There is just no way his views can be packaged to win either an electoral college majority or even a simple majority.

He's actually not a raging tard. It's worse than that. He says exactly what the raging tards want to hear quite deliberately if it will help him achieve his goals. He's a disgrace of a human. A moral bankrupt.

They asked him the question.

Cruz used the opportunity to insist that he agreed with the men, but "Obamacare is causing more and more people struggling to climb the economic latter to lose their health care."

Ok, a couple things here. First, how is that statement in any way accurate or supported by any facts whatsoever?  Isn't the whole point of Obamacare to increase access to healthcare, and didn't the GOP just have a case in front of the supreme court so that states would have the right to reject extra medicare funding?  And aren't GOP-controlled states (including Cruz's state, Texas) doing that right now?  In fact, didn't Rick Perry reject $100B in federal medicaid expansion for his state?  Isn't the fact that Obama is trying to give "free health care" to poor people the main objection offered by tea partiers like Cruz?

And finally, if Cruz is really concerned with poor people losing health care under Obamacare, then why is he pulling out all of the stops in a desperate attempt to repeal it, instead of expanding and fixing it?  Nobody can seriously believe that repealing Obamacare would suddenly be better for poor people.
