They made a movie about foosball? That's dumber than when ESPN showed Magic: The Gathering tournaments.

The Google has revealed to me that was a real thing. That really happened. In the real world. With expert commentary, no less.

Race the sun (actually has a stellar cast Halle, Casey affleck, dushku, zahn) should make the list.

Also I hear Jamaica had a bobsled team.

I'd rather recall the memorable, ridiculous sports in film, like topless horseback riding in Private School.

Ah, yes, as in "Hey, let's see if Farrah Fawcett is available for this project. Oh, she's not?  Well then, let's get Susan Anton."  Anyway, she's now 62 years old, and currently looks like this:

My compliments to her surgeon--he's done some good work there.

I saw the tennis one with Bert Convy.  It was even dumber than the article described it.

Someone help me out.  I remember a late 70's movie about a washed up boxer from Philly that makes it big and actually gets a shot at the heavyweight belt at the end.  The whole time his trainer is having him do stoopid training like chasing chickens and whatnot, calling him a bum while he did it.  I know I did not dream this movie.

How in the wide, wide world of sports did Flying (a.k.a Dream to Believe, Teenage Dream) not make this list?  It has Olivia d'Abo, Keanu Reeves, evil gymnasts, poor Canadian production values, and all the terrible writing and acting you could wish for.  I saw it on TV twenty years ago, and still haven't consumed enough alcohol to forget it.

What a stupid premise for a movie

Blargh, it sounds like the kind of thing they'd make nearly half a dozen sequels to.

There is nothing wrong with Vanessa Leniges booty in that movie. Dear God the things I would do to.., er I mean I admire her physical fitness and respect her workout ethic.

I remember catching Longshot (the foosball one) late one night in the late 80's and being drawn in by how bad it was. "Leif Garrett! Foosball! Oingo Boingo!" My friends thought I was full of shiat. By luck it came on again a few months later and I had a spare tape around to record it and make them bask in its awfulness.

"Over The Top" is godawful, sure, but we remember it for its godawfulness. The list of movies from TFA are truly forgotten, though.  I never heard of any of them.
