Kevin Pollak would prank call Alan Arkin and leave messages for him while sounding like Alan Arkin

I thought Dice did a pretty good job in that movie.

Couldn't make out a word of what he said.

saw this over the weekend, really dug it.  i didnt see "vicky maria barcelona" or his other more recent films, so i can't endorse the "woody is back, baby!" argumnet (last movie i saw of his was match point, and that was lik,e 2006 or something) but I really dug this.

i was hoping dice's role would be more substantial, based upon how much he talked aobut it on his podcast.  i thought he carried the movie from the way he talked about it and was talked about.  he's obviously a key character but i thought he would be "more".

really liked this.  there were a couple of things that moved a bit too quickly and could have used more exposition, but all in all i thought it was pretty damn good.  Cate Blanchett was phenomenal.  even the other female, she was really good.  i wouldn't be shocked if both got Oscar noms.  Blanchette without a doubt but the other gal was great.

even her love interest, he was really good.  not enough of a part for a supporting nod (if anybody, that goes to Dice out of this movie, only because Alec Baldwin was playing Alec Baldwin) but a great performance.

see this movie.  thank me later.

I am trying to imaging what a "random" voicemail would sound like, taking into account the actual meaning of the word "random". All I can imagine is noise.

A voicemail left from an Ecuadorian phone number consisting of a man reading the microwave instructions to instant oatmeal in French would be pretty random.

The VM from his daughter was audible and frankly better and more worthy of a blurb.

So, Louis CK goes on Letterman? I wasn't sure about the inside politics of the last few episodes of Louie.

As someone who is eco-friendly I love Dane Cook because I can be fairly sure that most of the material is recycled.

I don't think Louis C.K.'s standup is funny. His show WAS funny, but then it decided to be maudlin.

He's a funny guy, though. Like, I'm sure hanging out with him is a blast. But his standup routines are pretty stupid. He's much better off as a writer and actor, I think.

i have a few friends that love him.  i've never seen much of his comedy so i can't say, and i don't watch the show.

I take it you've never heard of Canelo Álvarez.

Back on topic, Andy Clay never has been, and never will be funny. I blame him for ruining what would otherwise be considered a classic comedy, Night Patrol.

He's not saying anything a thousand other comedians haven't said before, all comedians do is rehash the same old topics anymore. The white ones joke about their wife and kids, the blacks/Hispanics/Asians joke about their race, the women joke about men. We get it, wives nag a lot, kids do dumb shiat, people of color are stereotypical and men are lazy slobs. How many times can you laugh at the same crap?

Odd as this might sound, but I think once you realize that "Louie" isn't a comedy, it becomes a much better show. Maybe it's my age (41) or where I'm at in life with the wife and family, but to me he just seems to sum everything up perfectly

I have only seen a handful of episodes but I recognized this while watching the episode when his old comedy buddy comes to town and is going to kill himself.  Some of the best TV I have ever seen.

The Adventures of Ford Fairlane prove you wrong.  On average, though, not the strongest talent out there, no.
