DROxINxTHExWIND: Meh. If old movies have taught me anything its that this isn't really a problem. The homeless in SC will just tie a blanket to a string, hop on an empty boxcar and jump off in another state. The residents of the new town they come into will be suspicious and rude, at first. But, at the lowest moment, they'll be presented with an opportunity to redeam themselves, like saving a baby from a well, or beating up an attacker who was trying to rape the mayor's daughter. The police will think that the homeless man is the suspect, but the mayor's daughter will throw herself to protect him and let the local sheriffs know that he actually SAVED her. Meanwhile, evidence left at the scene will reveal that the real rapist is actually a powerful socialite who has been the leader of the towns anti-homelessness movement. He tries to run, but after a breif struggle with the homeless man, who is now a hero, he is brought to justice.Fast forward to a year later...the homeless man, who is now married to the mayor's daughter, is in charge of a state-of-the-art center where the homeless from across the nation come to be treated with dignity and get job training. He'll go back to South Carolina for a business meeting where he'll meet face-to-face with the legislator who ran him out of town. The legislator, knowing that he's been defeated, is about to speak when the homeless man interups and says, "thank you for not believing in me". Then, he casually walks down the hall to go to his meeting. The legislator stands, with a look on his face that letsyou know he now understands the error of his ways./scene
SuburbanCowboy: Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses.....
Itstoearly: So homeless people get arrested and go to jail, where they get a free bed, free food, free healthcare...
Resident Muslim: This sounds like a dangerous situation that might make desperate people do drastic things.I wonder who will draw first blood.
