As a Redskins fan, I sincerely hope this is a long-con that will end up costing Fat Albert every cent he swindled from the team.

If it turned out that Snyder spent millions building up a sham business just to dupe Haynesworth...it would actually greatly increase my respect for the man...from absolute-zero to like -200...but still an increase.

/Can't believe the team is STILL suffering from this moronic deal
//At least next year the salary cap penalties go away
/Maybe we can buy a real defense with the extra cap space

Is it really swindling when they so freely dump all that money on you? If it were me, I'd be a lot more pissed at the idiots in the organization that dropped $100 million on Haynesworth than I would be at Fat Albert for taking it.

Hell, if Danny Boy wants to give me a 9 figure contract I'll swindle him right the fark out of it, too.

Yeah, it is true that Zorn and Cerrato shat the bed and were basically no-brain yes-men to D. Snyder, and all of them thought the key was to throw buckets of money at free agents in the waning years of their careers...and believe me, I put the blame for the poor decision amking on them.

BUT...Haynesworth signed the deal, and then didn't live up to what was expected.  He showed up to training camp out of shape, refused to toe-the-line when the coach asked him to play nose guard, and then when he actually WAS on the field, he would play ahrd for about 2 seconds, and then collapse on the ground and hope that nobody was noticing.

Don't get me wrong, I don't wish him any real harm, and it sucks that his bro died in that motorcycle crash...but I would absolutely get some delicious schedenfraude if he shelled out big bucks (in a perfect world equal to what he got from the Skins, down to the cent) on a hot-ticket item that his trusted advisors sold him on, only to find that months later the project is behind schedule, his project manager is refusing to listen to his orders, and then when it finally opens underwhelms all who eat there, and closes for business everyday at 5:00pm because, hey, they worked hard for awhile right?  Who eats after 5:00pm anyways.

/I'll be less bitter when the fallout finally passes this offseason
//I hope

Well at least he has something to do so he stays out of trouble. I do not know if he actually has a degree of any type (did not notice it in the article) but he is actually trying to succeed in life after football.

Im probably being a tad pedantic and unfun at parties but does the above bother anyone else? Since absolute zero refers to kelvin we are talking about a scale that doesn't go negative.

/I must now stack everything in my office in descending size because I find repetitive behavior soothing or something

Hehe, well I didn't reference a specific temp scale but in my head I was in celsius.  Absolute zero is simply a specific temperatur, it can be referred to in any temperature unit.  Kelvin is just commonly used because kelvin sets 0 = absolute zero, but in celsious you still have absolute zero, it just equals -273.15 (going off memory from over 10 years ago, I apologize if I got some units wrong)

I thought this was going to be about Dave Winfield.

I always wished deals like Haynesworth broke Dannys bank and he would have to sell the team, but no such luck there. I thought Fat Albert was out of money anyways after all the tax man problems and his house and boat getting taken. But for the money they paid him he should have killed at least one guy per game. In the end it really was Snyder and Co fault for giving him that much damn money. But I would have signed a deal for that much too because if they are dumb enough to pay it' I'm dumb enough to take it.

He's a farking nut job and one day he'll put his hands on someone who's a bigger nut job and end up on a slab.

Bite into a Big Albert!  It's big and juicy and eating one will transport you the world of Albert Haynesworth -- lying face down on the floor, rolling from side to side in faux pain, unable to perform any purposeful task.
