How about $10,ooo Jim? Will you bet $10,000 that he'll sign your bill to repeal healthcare reform that has his name on it?

2013-08-21 08:12:35 AM

LordJiro: You've tried it FORTY FARKING TIMES, you miserable, useless wastes of oxygen. Give it the fark up.

He's only a useless waste of oxygen if he's smart enough to remember to breath.  Which, despite all evidence, is something "we still don't know".

I, for one, am quite happy that a man that amazingly stupid is no longer representing my state.

2013-08-21 08:14:48 AM
What if they fold it so it looks like the back of a check, and then when he unfolds it and sees it's the Obamacare defunding bill they can be all like "GOTCHA!"?

2013-08-21 08:15:45 AM
The Heritage Foundation study found that the ACA, also known as Obamacare, is forecasted to cost each person fourty two quadizillion dollars, which is three dollars less than what illegal immigrates are forecasted to cost.

Dear GOP...

Na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na
HEY HEY
Goodbye!

2013-08-21 08:21:10 AM
Curious as to the audiences reaction.  Are they or is Jim really that delusional?

An even more interesting tidbit, however, is his claims that anyone who doesn't vote to shutdown the government to defund Obamacare should "be replaced."  This the official line from the Kochs or has DeMint gone rogue?

2013-08-21 08:23:49 AM
Hey, we dont know, OK? For all we know, Jim Demint cannot go to sleep at night until he has sucked a dozen penises (10 inches or longer) off to ejaculation. Is that really true? We don't know!

2013-08-21 08:24:05 AM
Maybe he thinks Obama will be visited on April 15th by three ghosts. After being tormented by the ghosts of America's past (George Washington, natch), present (Breitbart), and future (???), and also a chain-rattling Ronald Reagan, the villainous Obama will "see the light" and cut taxes for the rich.

Cut to: Obama holding Tiny Ryan on his knee and declaring the end of socialism.

2013-08-21 08:24:25 AM
Just how stupid does DeMint think republicans are?

2013-08-21 08:25:24 AM
Satanic_Hamster: Curious as to the audiences reaction.  Are they or is Jim really that delusional?

Jim probably isn't delusional, but he knows exactly how delusional his supporters are.

Karac: I, for one, am quite happy that a man that amazingly stupid is no longer representing my state.

Yeah, but there's still Lindsay Graham and DeMint's black doppleganger, Tim Scott.

overfienduglar: Just how stupid does DeMint think republicans are?

He was elected to represent South Carolina in the Senate. If anybody knows just how stupid Republicans are, it's Jim DeMint.

Such a principled Fiscal ConservativeTM.

Wrong account d00d. You said something satirical instead of something full of potato.

2013-08-21 09:01:39 AM
They think that if they pass a budget funding everything except the ACA, Obama will be forced to sign it rather than shut down the government. Or if he shuts down the government, people will blame the President rather than Republicans.

That's their strategy, the poor dopes.

Close, but Saint Reagan has nothing to repent for. The chain-rattling ghost would be FDR, and Reagan would be the spirit of America's future.

Don't know much about the French I took
Don't know much about geography

Don't know what a slide rule is for.

But I do know that one and one is two,

how much has their 40 repeal attempts cost the US taxpayer? all for pure political theater.

2013-08-21 09:20:54 AM
And anyhow, the president must realize that Obamacare is the first step towards a more responsible and sane healthcare system for the US.  I find it incredibly unlikely that since he's not running for re-election he would mess with what might be the most important success of his presidency.  The ACA isn't going to solve every problem, or even most problems, but it's at least a shuffle step in the right direction.

These are the same people that were absolutely sure, without a single doubt, that Obama would lose in 2012. Their world and ours is only tangentially related.

FlashHarry: how much has their 40 repeal attempts cost the US taxpayer? all for pure political theater.

IIRC, something like $2.7 million per vote.

Dinki: These are the same people that were absolutely sure, without a single doubt, that Obama would lose in 2012. Their world and ours is only tangentially related.

True.   Also the people who will think Obama is a limp wristed pansy coward in the same sentence of claiming he's an all powerful evil overlord genius who always gets his way.

2013-08-21 09:35:40 AM
Does Jim Demint fark schoolchildren while funneling money to Al Qaeda? I am just asking questions here. Important questions.

Even stupider than that. The ACA is mandatory spending just like social security and medicare. The law has to specifically defund it, not just omit funding for it.

2013-08-21 09:45:34 AM
I also haven't heard on Obama denying that he would rape a bus of nuns and little school girls, but there probably a better chance of it happening than what Jim Demint is blabbering about.

2013-08-21 09:48:07 AM
So the Heritage Foundation is running town halls sponsored by the Heritage Foundation to try to convince people to get rid of the Heritage Foundation's health care reform plan that was invented by the Heritage Foundation.

Makes perfect farking sense.

2013-08-21 09:48:26 AM
Let's see if Obama and the democrat party have enough integrity to own their mistakes and rectify the utter failure that is Obamacare.

I, for one, would applaud such an act of moral fortitude.

Satanic_Hamster: RC, something like $2.7 million per vote.

so we taxpayers have paid $108,000,000 for GOP politicking. fark me.

2013-08-21 09:59:58 AM
The early 21st century GOP will go down in the annals of history as having nearly destroyed Western Civilization by basically being the biggest poachers of oxygen the world has ever known, by being blights that are an affront to decent, educated society, by being philistines of the highest order, by being deniers of Science and rational thought, by being theofascists that would make 15th century Catholic inquisitors cringe in fear, by being obstructionist douchebags who would rather watch the country burn than celebrate it's renaissance that they could have helped create if they just worked with a black president and his cohorts who just happen to be on the right side of history and the GOP knows it, by being laden with too many god damn chromosomes and not enough common sense that their omnipresent deity happened to give a Rottweiler that fell down 15 flights of stairs, and by being jackbooted sycophants for big business who will stop at nothing to make sure that the corporate tax rate one day equals the only number that properly describes how bountiful their soul and conscience is:  zero.

2013-08-21 10:01:36 AM
it would be funny if they passed a bill to defund Obamacare, and fartbama signed it. The republicans could scream victory, even though nothing was defunded. Then they could turn their guns on the ACA, vowing to strike it down.

It was calculated during the Clinton impeachment - $44 million to investigate a cum stain.  I still remember the figure.  But it didn't really dethrone them, but it can't hurt I suppose.

The damning thing about this is that it's nothing more than political grandstanding. There is no chance it will pass and they know it. But now they all get to say that they voted against it.

They are using taxpayer money to polish their images and make themselves more marketable to their teabagger constituents.

This is as bad as what they claim about democrats - that they buy off votes by offering free stuff. Here the Republicans are achieving the same end. They're just doing it through improving marketability rather than offering more product.

I still find it hilarious that the Heritage Foundation is trying to kill their idea that they came up with in the '90's to combat HillaryCare. This is why Romney got away with using it in Mass.
But now that a Democrat has touched it, it's all icky.
