Disturbing notes from the article:

Gropper says creditors will get about 4 cents on the dollar. Many former workers will lose retirement and health care benefits.

and

The Associated Press reports that the U.S. Trustee filed an objection with the court challenging the legality of hefty cash and stock bonuses that Kodak executives are expected to receive when the company exits from bankruptcy protection.

Well they're screwing over their former workers, who will now have to unexpectedly take up new jobs in order to get money to live on and their health care benefits back, but just as long as the executives get their golden goose egg then everything will be alright!

Just a matter of time I guess before I'll have to buy a new printer/scanner/copier. Currently have a Kodak, and I imagine the ink cartridges will stop being made soon.

Right now I'm all alone in their Data Center. I'm wondering how many of us will loose all our retirement. 30+ years....sigh.

Kodak used to do field service on some computer equipment.  The company I work for now has some of their old contracts.  Thanks to that, I was sent to Boulder, Colorado, to learn to service great big tape libraries ;)
