What the hell is people's problem with Rite Aid?

Strangely enough, no Oil industry giants are on this list.
Pretty much any visit to a gas station would reinforce this.
And pretty much anyone with a thinking brain should absolutely despise the evil that is Koch Industries and the politician-buying and safety rule ignoring ways.

video man: Triumph: video man: Bayer? THEY HELPED THE GODDAMNED NAZIS.

When you've got a cough, nothing beats Bayer Heroin.

At least heroin can technically treat a caugh. You can't be forgiven for Zyklon-B, though.

Zyklon-B doesn't stop a cough?

Old people, I'm guessing, have the "problem."

Shocked Comcast/Xfinity isn't on the bottom list.

Did anyone in here RTFA? This isn't a list based on consumer opinions.

The results tell the story from a business perspective, and weren't meant to capture consumer attitudes, says CoreBrand CEO James Gregory

phrawgh: F@@!#(#@!&% AAFES!!!! :(

Army Air force Exchange Service?

I worked for them at a Burger King on Ft Eustis in VA back in '92. They paid more than minimum wage and had a nightshift bonus for working after 6. Good stuff for an 19 yr old kid flipping burgers.

Do they suck now or did I not know they sucked then?

Lewdy: What a shock that the two most respected brands in the world's fattest country make sugary drinks and chocolate bars. America,  leader laughing stock of the free world.

What surprised me was Hershey being on the list and not Nestle.  I am not comparing candies, just the companies.  Nestle makes Hershey look like a mom and pop operation.  It would be very hard for anyone to do any grocery shopping and not buy from a label belonging to Nestle.  As for pop, it is debatable about who sells more between Pepsi and Coke.  However Pepsi Co. has a bigger market share outside of pop sales, owning Frito Lay is part of it.

Now something really funny, the biggest bread and baked sweets distributer in the US: a Mexican owned company called Bimbo.  They had the money and did try to buy Hostess, but lost out by almost having a monopoly.

/you should check the list again, Mexico is the fattest, we dropped to second place
//not checking facts means we must still be competing for the dumbest

That was Degussa, not Bayer.

/there was some face-palming when it was revealed that one of Degussa's subsidiaries was contracted to apply anti-graffiti chemicals to the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin.

IG Farben created Zyklon-B and owned the patent. They were the major shareholder of the manufacturer of Zyklon-B (which I thought was Degesch), to whom they assigned the patent. After IG Farben (which had extensively utilized Jews for slave labor during WWII) disbanded following WWII several of their subsidiaries became independent companies. One of those companies was Bayer.

Later (the 1950s), to make up for its crimes during WWII, Bayer installed a Nuremberg-convicted war criminal as its chairman of its supervisory board.

Several of the Pacific Island nations are much "fatter" than Mexico or the USA. The UN study that was all over the internet a month ago about the "fattest" nations conveniently did not include many nations.

spentshells: I  have only had good experiences with Delta, but I am from Canada and anything is better than air Canada

Flown air canada 20 plus times left on time once and it was last month.

Government subsidized bumbs.

Former Delta employee here.  Pretty much every major airline is government subsidized.  Fuel prices are too high right now for them to really make profits on an annual basis.  When I worked there, the trans-Pacific routes were profitable, the Summer quarter was profitable and very little else was.  The unfortunate reality for the airline industry is that they are going to be hated for years because people's expectations are still based on the mid 90's, when operating costs were much lower because fuel was much cheaper.  People think they should still be entitled to that level of service without paying for the extra costs of fuel.  When I left Delta, almost 40% of the company's expenditures went to paying for fuel.  That's a cost that you just can't avoid.  Believe it or not, it takes a shiat ton of money and fuel to bring a 360 ton aircraft 6.5 miles into the air and then keep it moving at Mach .85.

As far as Delta itself goes, they real take a hit in brand recognition because they are the Brett Favre of airlines.  They are constantly in the news because they have the most lost bags, delayed flights, in-flight maintenance issues, etc of all airlines.  The news neglects to tell you that this is only because Delta has far more customers than any other airline is better than the average in all those categories.  When I worked there, Delta lost fewer than .1% of luggage and had an on time flight departure rate of of over 99%.
