Not alone. I was hoping the video would come to an abrupt halt after she hit a pole and was ejected from the drivers seat only to skid 100 feet from the car, then the video would end in a horror movie fashion with the camera falling back towards her and showing her smiling road rashed face.

The video seems to be gone. Perhaps the girl shot the video realized that she could be nailed for using her camera while driving, and pulled it down?

Or the Vine is farked.

Either way, this says everything about the younger millennials' intelligence and priorities: The stupid girl's first instinct when DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY (which is 70 mph in Michigan) was to whip out her smartphone, start the camera app (which she says she had difficulty starting... BECAUSE SHE WAS DRIVING) and record the event then upload it to a social networking site.

Seriously, kids? This is how you're living your lives? And you want me to be HAPPY about Google Glass making this easier? Fark that.

I appears Ms. Stack had time to fetch out her camera because he was in the median for a while before hitting the creek.  They think the guy suffered a medical problem which caused him to be in the median.  I am glad Ms. Stack had the mental fortitude to video record a potentially fatal accident instead of calling 911 to get responders moving before he crashed.  That was wise of her to record the obvious when time could've mattered if his injuries were worse.  I hope if I have a rollover accident and lay pinned under my truck that a 20 something wisely films my last moments instead of getting emergency crews there before I expired.

Oh, calm down, Nancy. Six seconds in terms of calling 911 would not make the slightest bit of difference. You're assuming that a) she didn't call 911, b) nobody else did either and c) that he died as a direct result of this chicklet filming him instead of calling 911, none of which are proven. Unknot your panties ffs before you cut off circulation to your brain.

2013-08-21 01:29:55 AM
Was all set to say maybe she was filming from the backseat. Then I saw some other news reports.

"Stack told the Lansing State Journal that she was driving to Kalamazoo for a dance team practice when she heard the truck on the median. " 5th paragraph down  http://www.lansingstatejournal.com/viewart/20130820/NEWS01/308200039/ v ine-truck-crash-96-video-guardrail-exclusive

She was driving and had time to take out her phone then she had time to call 911 before filming. But she did say she pulled over after filming and called 911. Not sure if calling 911 30 seconds before the accident or after would have made much of a difference, injuries would have been the same.

Hope the guy recovers and I hope Ms. Stack invest in a dash cam instead of taking out her phone every time she sees something interesting in traffic.
