No, I think 3rd grade is about right, they can handle a .22 at that age.

This is just an isolated incident, just like all those other isolated incidents.

Do elementary school shooters just want be in the news? The kids there are too young to have irritated anyone to any extent.
If the mind of the shooter is warped he should have his disagreement with the other parent in the trailer park.  Has narcissism in the US reached the point people really will do anything to get their 15 minutes.  the gunman asked her to call WSB-TV

vpb: This is just an isolated incident, just like all those other isolated incidents.

But those are different isolated incidents, that's why they're isolated. Now, if every gun incident involved the same gun owner, and the same gun, in the same place, with the same result, now THOSE would be similar isolated incidents.

The coverage of all elementary school shooters should have the preface of incontinent and appearing impotent followed by no name just shooter. If a person really wants to be on the news it might be best to introduce them to the world as the incontinent and appearing impotent (name of school) school shooter

Well, there was the thread today where a lady wrote a pretty stern letter to the mother of an autistic kid that was being too loud.

Perhaps it was follow up shooty time?

I that it was all a big joke until this quote from TFA:

I heard 'bang, bang, bang!' Then, I heard, 'doom, doom, doom shots, so I knew something was wrong," she told Byfield.

Then I dropped my glass in slow motion

AJC.com says he was white. Not a TON of white folks in the immediate neighborhood, and very few white children in that school, but there's a gentrifier enclave less than a mile away at East Lake. As to why he did it: duh. Same reason as all the other school shooters. He wanted to be famous/infamous. At least he didn't shoot anybody.

FTFA: Parents must have photo ID to pick up their child.

Wait, isn't that that policy considered discriminatory to the poors and disenfranchised?

Wow, for once the "Cower in the corner and simper " technique worked.

Good thing no school staff was armed and enabled to defend the students.

// thank god-particle nobody worthwhile was hurt.

/// why the fark is it taking 5 farking hours to get the kids to their parents? Cops groping each child to make sure osama isn't hidden under their clothes?

Is that the same county where the teenager shot the baby in a stroller? It's time to take the fluoride out of the water.

So does this mean the NRA will be opening an office in DeKalb?  To 'splain why it would be so much nicer if all the teachers were issued Glock 19's with their dry-erase markers?

Is this one of those "all journalists are idiots about guns" comments? Or are we gonna get into the weeds of the difference between the AK variants? Because if your objection is that it was IN REALITY, a Chinese-made Polytech AKS, then just go polish your gas piston.

/Mine's a Bulgarian AKM kit on a U.S. receiver. Still an AK-47 for all intents and purposes.
//Why wouldn't it be an AK? You could pick up a ROMAK a few years ago at Georgia gunshows for $350.

You are correct. Found another article. Kid was 3. Dad has his priorities in the right place:

"I have nothing wrong with guns ... I will still support the Second Amendment. All I ask is that everyone please, please safety first ... lock it up and put it out of reach of anyone that has no business being around a gun especially kids. Gun safety people! My boy would still be here if it was put away like it should have been."

Or, you know, not been in the house. But YMMV.
