ChipNASA, I've been saying this for years. Sherman's March was ten years too short and didn't cover nearly enough territory

Couldn't be that other Atlanta. We've had so much rain, you'd have to blow dry the city for a month before it would burn.

Next time Georgia goes full derp over federal taxes, the feds ought to tie any additional highway funding to the condition that I-75/I-16 from Atlanta to Savannah be renamed the "William Tecumseh Sherman Memorial Freeway."

You know, we here in Savannah really don't mind Sherman that much.  I mean he had sense enough not to burn us down.  Reports vary on why but I'm guessing it was the women.

Yeah, if we could take some of your rain and you could take some of our sunshine, we would both be happy.

Most of the full-derp anti-taxers in Georgia are Yankee transplants, so that shouldn't be a problem.

My mom has newspapers from the civil war, including from when Atlanta burned. I don't know is she loaned them to the smithsonian along with my great-great-grandfather's war-journals or if she is keeping them in storage, but I remember reading them as a kid.
