So you're saying there IS a chance, right?

I stopped reading when they said their evidence is the Bible, and while not "scientific", is pretty well iron clad, just because.

/mind-numbingly stupid

Creationism is an interesting example on the need some people have to be wrong as hard as possible.

Are you saying a 2000 year old text translated dozens of times ISN'T a good source??

This, right here, is the reason you CAN'T "reason" with people. I gave up. "Sure, all the facts say I'm wrong, but I BELIEVE I am right, so..."

It's right wing paradise...

Being an Evangelical Christian, I just stopped reading.

Not finding evidence to disprove an explanation of something pretty much IS the definition of a scientific theory, so yeah.

I don't know about this... at the Creation Museum, they're not allowed to display any items over 6,000 years old.  Seems a little exclusive.

This is sound logic. St. George and the Dragon is my evidence that Dragons existed up until the 10th century. If it's in black and white, it has to be true.

Once people lock onto ideas, they sometimes become almost impossible to shake.  The more evidence to the contrary they are presented with, the more they retreat into doctrine and logical fallacies to preserve their views.  The bible and religion are especially tough because they cover a broad spectrum of lifestyle pronouncements.  So it you attack the source material, you are attacking the entire lifestyle that goes with it.

Nice to see them stop lying for a change. There's no evidence they just have faith. Alrighty. Can't argue with that.

You can either go with science or with bronze age mythology. Next time you get sick, choose accordingly.

But how would you prove to them that they're older than 5,999 years?  They don't believe in radiological dating.

The problem with the theory of evolution is that it's always evolving.

Unlike the Sacred Texts within the Church of Global Warming, the 'science isn't settled' and heretics still roam the land, speaking freely...

It took that much effort to get all the Greek, Roman, Aramaic and Latiny stuff back to english, the official language of Jesus.

Since a "museum" is a place where you put artifacts, relics, and other tangible evidence relating to a subject, what exactly do you put in a religious "museum"? Aside from "Artist's Depictions" of stories?

This reminds me of a video I came across on YouTube a few months ago. It was supposed to present a new theory on the extinction of the dinosaurs, but I turned it off when this sentence was used. "We will also present evidence from the most accurate and trusted historical reference available, The Bible."

"There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

Well, I don't think you have to pick one to the exclusion of the other. I'm fine with people having irrational beliefs like ghosts or spirits or True Love but using modern medicine when ill. Science is the absolute very best for somethings, but it isn't the authority for all aspects of human existence.

That graphic always annoys me, just because the Pope actually lives in Vatican City, which is a whole 'nother thing than Italy.  Yes, technically he's in Italy, but he doesn't live there.

Well, the Vatican is kind of a religious museum, as are various sites in Jerusalem. They've got all kind of stuff in those places, if you'd care to learn.
