Eight people on board the train were transferred to another train to continue their journey.

Life's journey is full of bumps in the road

That's why I've disabled flash videos in Chrome except in sites I want it to be on.

As for the kid himself, Sad tag? More like Dumbass tag. Walking down the tracks is like walking in the middle of the road. A direct path to death (or at least severe injury).

If I die like this I would rather people would just be honest about what an insufferable asshole I am.

You're a special kind of idiot if you manage to get hit by a train and it wasn't on purpose.

In his defense, walking along the DC Metro tracks will get you where you want to go faster than any train will.

It's about 3 miles between East Falls Church and Ballston Metro.

Good Guy Metro Suicide: goes during off peak, non rush hour times.

Others were quoted as saying he was faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.

I wondered why he was walking instead of just taking a train going back, but he must have been on the last train of the night.

Plus it's trespassing; railroad tracks are owned by the respective companies who have to maintain them and the surrounding vegetation. There's a really tall (historic) trestle that passes over Letchworth State Park here in NY, and they've been adding security to it over the years specifically because idiots (myself included, years ago) like to walk out on it. At this point they've added a complicated security fence and tons of signs warning people off.

And the huge rush of air is a very, very early warning as the train pushes it forward.

Genius probably had ear buds in too. I grew up with many family members working on trains, the one thing they drilled into my head is to NEVER walk on the tracks. Walk off to the side of them. My great grandfather even died working on the rails, he wasent hit by a train he was hit by a bridge.

It is a subway. There is no place to walk but on the tracks in the cement tube.

Sounds like he was, at the last, on the second to the last train of the night.

Either stupid drunk, or partially drunk and had his city music playing loudly in his ear buds.

Most of the way between the two stations, the tracks go above ground.

i think there is a narrow walkway on the side of the tube, in case a train gets stuck.  i guess it is possible to get hit by a train walking on that, though, if it is close enough to the track.

They showed the place where he was hit, it was one of the above ground sections of track.

Make sure you get the "More where that came from" mod. Adds another hundred or so music tracks to the game.

I'm playing the xbox version unfortunately.  I used to play games on my pc but just got burned too many times with installation problems.  Now I just have xboxes that constantly break.
