There is no other uniform in the whole wide world of sports that is as classy as the Tigers home whites.

Nabb1: The Nats should be in last place for no other reason than their logo makes me wonder if my prescription is ready.

Don't be hating on the W. That's my favorite part of their uniform. They were using that way before Walgreens stole it.

Bermuda59: Padres are boring, but their Sunday military jerseys are pretty cool.

agreed, but it is strange since San Dog isn't really a military town.

Also, as TFA said, bring back the BROWN! The 70's Padre unis were so ugly, they were AWESOME.

Dead for Tax Reasons: it seems like the guy likes blue, not red...got it

cubs, royals, blue jays blue are 'top looks in the game', 'underrated' and 'easy on the eyes' while red sox, reds, nats and angels red is 'garish' and 'a no-no'

You think that's bad?  If you're a regular reader of his actual blog you would see that the dude really hates purple.

DirtyDeadGhostofEbenezerCooke: In 1929, when numbers became a thing, there were only 7 other teams in your league and no inter-league games except the World Series.   If you couldn't figure out the regular line-ups and a pitcher, you just weren't following baseball. I think it is better looking to have only numbers, but when the other, now, 29 teams are putting names on their road uniforms, it seems a little cocky.

I guess I'm not understanding how it's "cocky" to keep your uniforms nearly exactly as they have been since adding the interlocking NY to the front of the home jersey in 1936.  The road "NEW YORK" jersey has been essentially unchanged since 5 years before that.

Um...Have you been to San Diego? It's a  very military town. It's pretty much built around the Navy.

Well, except for having the largest fleet in the world stationed there and 35,000 military employees. San Diego has long been a Navy city.

mainstreet62: Wait a minute......

Sac fly to short? Really?

Yep. It happened in yesterday's Cards - Cubs game. Bases loaded, infield fly rule was called. SS catches ball, runner takes off from third, SS stands there with his thumb up his ass for a couple more seconds, then throws home way too late, Cards score another run.
