Bondo with Rondo?

Reports out there that they are trying to get James Posey.  I would love that.

The real question is if Rondo is on board with the greater goal of outright sucking this year. If the Celtics are even in contention for one of the last playoff spots by March, then something went horribly wrong.

Then you trade him.

So Danny Ainge trades the last of the Big Three but won't move Rondo? I like Rondo and he gets a lot of assists, but his jumper and free throw shooting are issues. Danny should just try to move Rondo and really get on with the rebuilding.

To the Suns, strictly for lulz.

Seems silly to go through the trouble of hiring an asst. coach with the the specific detail of stroking his ego if you're also making Rondo the first trade chip for the season. I'm assuming that ship has sailed and they really, really want Rondo as part of the rebuilding process.

I don't think they're going to trade him. They can rebuild even with him there and when he's healthy and motivated he's easily one of the top 3 PGs in the league.

Of course, the "healthy and motivated" part can be an issue. But why not rebuild around him rather than nuke the entire thing from orbit in the hope of winning the Wiggins lotter?

I also think they're in the lottery regardless of whether they trade him so there's that too.

I am still torn on the Rondo issue but you guys are probably right.

I am more than a little confused about this myself.  I thought it was apparent they were trying to shop him but didn't like the offers so they decided to hold on to him until they got something they did like.  But announcing this move is confirming to everyone that he's a bit of a diva/headcase which is only going to hurt his trade value.

They'll stretch Rondo's injury recovery time as much as possible. Boston has no interest in the guy playing before January.

CBSSports is blocked at my work.  Are they trying to find someone to good ol' buddy get along with him.  Or are they looking for someone to "Charles Oakley" get along with him?

Nana's vag blocks sports sites?  I'd think elderly vaginas would be more appreciative of all your hard work in frankly unpleasant work conditions and at least let you have some decent internet access.

Ive read that too.  Yahoo and ESPN are just reporting that they're looking at Posey as an assistant.  CBS is the only one I saw taking OMGZ We need help with Rondo!! approach.

We jest, but I honestly believe (though never tested) CBS Sports is the only site blocked here.  I'm pretty sure I could access every single gambling, pron , torrent, streaming, etc site on the internet.  But CBS Sports is a no no.  I think it had something to do with March Madness a few years back, where at the time CBS was the best at keeping games in real time.  I know I loved their real-time fantasy baseball back then.

Anyways, I'd be happy to see Posey.  But it's also kind of sad, since he fit in so well as a role player around Pierce, Allen, and Garnett.

I was so bummed to see him go.  He is exactly the guy you need on a championship team.

Don't forget about Eddie House, Leon Powe, and even PJ Brown.  *weep*

Nana's Vibrator: Leon Powe

He was my favorite Celtic that year.  I was beyond bummed when they opted to keep Big Baby but I get it considering Leon exploded his knee.

Getting as far away from Ainge and the Celtics as possible would be the best thing Rondo could do at this point in his career.
