Yeah, biatch is seriously loyal. I'm sure having a husband who can fill the back of a van with $100 bills doesn't hurt either.

After last night's episode, I definitely hated her less. Hell, if she gunned down Hank, I may even like her.

I'm absolutely flabbergasted that nobody has come in here to wail about spoilers yet.

It's really not all that shocking to see Skyler's loyalty. If Walt goes down, then so does her car wash, and the giant piles of money, and she'd have to relocate to somewhere where people don't know who she is, and she may face prison too.

But yeah, it was nice seeing her as something other than a pain in the ass.

Yeah she finally showed some loyalty to Walt but i'll admit i enjoyed seeing Marie biatchslap her.

She was slightly redeeming last night. Doesn't make up for the entire run of the series though.

show me: Yeah, biatch is seriously loyal. I'm sure having a husband who can fill the back of a van with $100 bills doesn't hurt either.

This was what I was thinking, if anything it makes me loathe her even more. Either that, or she's loyal out of guilt for subjugating her husband and humiliating him through her infidelity.

I cannot think of any other show in history where I honestly hate just about every single character on it, and yet want to finish watching and see where they all end. Most shows build up so that you care for characters, at this point I care not a single bit for any of them and wish them all to find their justice they so have coming to them.

No Subby, I still hate Skyler.

I once had a girlfriend who complained that telling her who is in the movie is a spoiler. (And no, it wasn't a surprise cameo like Sean Connery at the end of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.)

Screw Skylar, let's talk about the end. There's no way that Jesse rats out Walt to Hank, is there?

Not sure what he's going to say, if anything. His depression is hard to watch.

Kevin Spacey in Seven?

Hank wearing purple; guess we know who wears the pants purple in that relationship.

She was going to jail also if she talked, and she knew it. She knew it when Hank kept trying to convince her not to get a lawyer. She knew at that instance that Hank is coming to take everybody down know matter who it is.

No. Specifically, it was Ian McShane as Blackbeard.

Why did she not mention to Hank that perhaps the fact that his medical bills were all paid with drug money is going to look not so great if he brings this out.

As she said at the end, perhaps the best option is to stay quiet and that includes this fact.

I'm guessing its going to be a plot point that forces Hank to act and operate outside the boundaries of law, which will end up with someone dead.

I figured that was going to happen last week since Walt went to Jesse's house with the tracker on his car.  I don't see how Jesse doesn't rat out Walt.  I think he's lost all loyalty to Walt at this point (especially since Walt killed Mike) and just wants to be done with the whole thing.  If he can get immunity and maybe Witsec from the DEA, I could see him taking that deal and going far, far away.

Agreed, except you don't talk to cops. Rule #1.

What's up with Hank's penis?
The way he's acting all uncertain and pussyfooting about the whole deal you have to assume he doesn't have one.
Anyway, Skylar... I think she likes money, I like money, she and I should hang out.

He says it to Marie near the end of the episode: this case will end his career.  There's no way he remains a DEA agent after all this comes to light.  By holding out until he can get something definitive, he can at least be remembered as the guy who got Heisenberg, rather than the guy who didn't realize his brother was a kingpin.

Unfortunately, I watched the first season and while I thought it was good, didn't continue. However, a few weeks ago my wife got hooked on it and we have been going through the seasons as fast as we can on Netflix. I seem to remember them doing some mini episodes between seasons a while ago. Are those worth watching as we go through the series?

/Show is so good I don't even care about spoilers in these threads. Acting, cinematography, story are all fantastic and even if I find out the gist of what is coming up, it's nothing compared to watching it...

Remember one thing about Jesse, he is a self professed outlaw. Remember when Saul was trying to get him to hide his money in different front businesses and Jesse said that he is an outlaw not a businessman? That is his whole attitude, he is an outlaw, and as an outlaw he isn't going to snitch. Plus is doesn't need to snitch, they don't have anything to hold him on. I have a feeling he is going to end up cooking with Todd and the Nazi crew until things start getting crazy with them.

I have a feeling that Hank is all too aware of that.  Not only is his brother-in-law the biggest Meth chemist in the history of ABQ, but he himself financially benefited from it.  If Hank doesn't realize it, Marie sure does.  You could see her putting 2+2 together as she mentally counted back to when this all might have started.

Do we know that Walt went to Jesse's house with the tracker.  I interpreted the scene where Walt discovered the tracker to be one where he heard some noise outside, went out to investigate, saw nothing, and then thought about the car for some reason.  I took it to mean that the noise that awoke Walt was Hank putting the tracer on his car.

2013-08-19 01:04:04 PM
Besides Walt possibly going to jail, the big thing (I would guess) in her mind is that it would come out that the Car Wash was bought with drug money. It's getting to be seized if all this goes down and she's left with no husband and no way to support her kids. And SPOILER ALERT, now that she knows the cancer is back, she knows it's a waiting game.

Last night's episode definitely wasn't my favorite, but it worked great. It had some great moments and some tense scenes. Can't wait for next week.

On the subject of spoilers, I watched the "Coming up" clip online for next week. I appreciate how they just give a couple vocal snippets and cryptic shots of the characters. Nice way to keep us guessing.

2013-08-19 01:06:37 PM
If Skylar wanted to be really bad ass, she'd have asked Hank how implicated a cop might be for taking drug money for medical treatment, and let him know, in no uncertain terms, such a cop would be going down HARD.

See, this is why I only made it through the first season and then stopped. Sure the acting, writing, and directing are reportedly top-notch, but why bother when I can't stand any of the characters? Maybe I'll come back to it someday.

Couple thoughts...

We know something major goes down, since Walt/Skyler are no longer living in their home and it's locked up like a crime scene (per the flash forward).

We know Walt goes there to get the hidden cyanide, either to get rid of evidence, or more likely some intent to use it, perhaps himself?

Walt has a full head of hair in that flash forward, which might mean the cancer is bullshiat, or he stopped treatments (since I assume he's a wanted man at that point).

I imagine Hank was freaked to see Marie trying to kidnap a child (that would have helped his case so much huh?)

2013-08-19 01:22:23 PM
I was glad see that Todd (but not his Aryan connections) is still in the picture, that Lydia will take down anyone who interferes with the flow of the money, and it was that curly haired criminal who was cooking the meth so poorly.

Yes, Todd did kill the kid and he's an asshole for doing that, but otherwise he just seems like a practical person and does what needs to be done. Doesn't seem particularly mean hearted like Walt or Mike, or I guess Lydia. Maybe all those flash forwards with Walt on the run and guns in his trunk means the Aryans are after him. They did kill all those inmates in jail, Walt just paid them to do it.

2013-08-19 01:22:36 PM
There seems to be this whole consensus out there that Saul is, perhaps, the only character who seems guaranteed to survive, but I think that Walt's "Maybe I should send  youto Belize" should have proved taht wrong.

2013-08-19 01:23:42 PM
I think someone will survive to enjoy all the money Walt stashed.  Right now I'm thinking Saul, Jesse, or Marie.  Though my faith in Jesse getting out alive is diminishing as this season plays out

2013-08-19 01:27:59 PM
I loved seeing Huell lay down on the stack of CASH! LOL!

And he had a cone head when he was looking at Jesse in Saul's office!

Well remember when Walt kept drilling it into Todds head "Nobody can know about this". Todd must have taken that as kill anyone that sees this.
Hank could end up in a lot of trouble since he did take money for his treatments. Marie was being a giant coont when she tried to take the baby. I did laugh a couple times last night when Kuby and Huell laid down on the money. I wanted to do that ever since Skyler showed Walt the money. The other time was at the shooting at the meth lab when Lydia didn't want to see the bodies. She has no problem ordering people killed but can't look at the mess. She is no Gus!

2013-08-19 01:38:27 PM
This whole mess has turned into more of the Skylay and Marie sister rivalry bullshiat.  Marie pushing Hank to win, Skylar pushing Walt to win.

If these were reasonable men (Hank and Walt) they'd dumped the wives and be sipping cocktails on some private island right now.  But no, more keep-up-with-the-joneses crap.  Women...

2013-08-19 01:41:15 PM
I have no sympathy for Walt, but Skyler is definitely in it just for herself at this point. She's in a difficult position but she made her bed. I could think Walt was always a kingpin waiting for the opportunity to indulge his superiority complex. I think Skyler consciously chose the crime life or at least resigned herself to it.

Erm, she's a replicant, she doesn't want the images on her hard-drive, that's all.
She likes blood, judging from the soles of her shoes she dances in it enough.

Nope, still hate her. She will never do anything redeeming to make me change my mind. She a selfish biatch.

2013-08-19 01:58:01 PM
Skyler is being super smart right now - when Marie came in to talk to her, she never answered any of her questions, other than saying "I'm sorry".  I think she didn't say anything else because, based on Hank's actions earlier in the day, she thought that Marie might have a wire on her, and she feels like Hank is trying to trap her.

Why did Hank even tell Marie?  Now if she doesn't go to the DEA, she is also implicated in the cover up.  This is getting messier by the minute!

2013-08-19 01:59:09 PM
Walt is a dick.      Jr.  should be training to be the new Heisenberg.  keep it in the family.

Hank could talk his way out of it.

He had Walt & Jesse cornered before the fake hospital call smoked him out. The next day, he's gunned down. When he recuperates, he successfully fingers Fring.

Now that he sees Walt is the puppet master, if he brings him in, he may not keep the director's position, but I fail to see how they could force him to resign, considering he took a bullet for the team

I dunno, the writing on this show tends to be a little deeper than that.  Besides, we already know she's an obnoxious yuppie.  Remember the exchange she has with the waitress at the diner when she first meets up with Mike to give her list?
