Didn't Russia grant him asylum after he released those documents?

He doesn't have a leg to stand on.

His defence team are dismayed that it had decided against wearing its hoodie that night.

He's biding his time. At the right moment, he will deploy his secret weapon.

Every accused person has a right to a fair trial, which includes the right ... not to be tried for an offence in respect of an act or omission for which that person has previously been either acquitted or convicted ...

- Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, s. 35(3)(m)

But as pointed out, while he was arrested for this and was under restrictions as a condition of release, he has not been tried.   What passes for speedy trial in the US does not occur in many other countries.

My brother has one of his blades.  He gave it to him right before this all went down.

Why are South African courts so heavy on the mood lighting? Every pic of Pistorious at a hearing looks like this:

I wonder if he has PR people manipulating the released photos to either try to make him look downtrodden or make the SA court system look archaic (seriously, is that a farkin torch sconce in the background?).

-I think that courtroom looks pretty cool.  I hate white rooms with bright, antiseptic lighting.
