What a complete and total weasel. Really hope he's remembered for this nonsense as much as ARod ~10 years down the road.

playing the anti-semite card, lol

2013-08-19 07:07:27 AM
Didn't he already admit to taking PED's?

He should probably just STFU.

the only thing missing was Ryan Braun saying that he found out Laurenzi donates money to palestine.

But he *was taking ped's*

2013-08-19 07:45:14 AM
Christ, what an asshole!

2013-08-19 07:47:02 AM
Wow, what a douchebag

2013-08-19 07:53:08 AM
Braun, who is Jewish, also told the players that he had been told the collector was an anti-Semite.

You know you've got a religious person cornered when they bust this shiat out.

A source with knowledge of his thinking says Braun wants to make things right again.

Is he going to jam a needle in to his ass and pull the PEDs out while simultaneously getting Laurenzi his job back or something?

2013-08-19 08:04:53 AM
Braun needs to get beaned once a game. Nothing at the head or anything, but bounce one off his elbow or ass until he gets the message that he's hated, even by his fellow players.

2013-08-19 08:06:30 AM
this happened a long time ago, during his appeal over a year ago.

2013-08-19 08:15:23 AM
So, he's one of those PED-deniers?

He hasn't seen the evidence of the 6,000,000 PED users?

He should be court-ordered to visit the Balco Museum so he can see the real truth.

Yeah I wonder if the reporter who said Braun didn't owe the collector an apology will change his mind now.

What's a scumbag, Braun should be suspended for next season too.

One of the arguments I heard during that appeals process in defense of Braun was that he never had that period of time where he was noticeably bigger, like Sosa, McGuire, and Bonds.

I'd like to think this means that he's never played a clean game of professional baseball in his life, and when he comes back he's going to suck, but that's just me.

My bet is this dicknut is suspended again within the first year of coming back. He doesn't have the brains to not keep using.

I think the day is coming when "race-baiter" will be held in the same low regard as "racist".

Braun just took a step in the right direction.

2013-08-19 09:59:46 AM
Braun's the biggest douchebag in this whole scandal.  At least the other guys are taking potshots at fellow millionaires rather than some little guy doing his job collecting piss to put food on the table.

HotWingConspiracy: Is he going to jam a needle in to his ass and pull the PEDs out while simultaneously getting Laurenzi his job back or something?

Laurenzi would have lost his job anyways. It's not that he deserved to in anyway, but there's no good reason for a billion dollar enterprise to enforce any drug policy with such lax collection policies, and to save face, I wouldn't have put it past MLB to have scapegoated him almost as badly as Braun and his legal team did.

2013-08-19 10:14:49 AM
Baseball Selig'ed this up from the get-go. All so a sleazy used-car salesman could have a "legacy". Braun owes the guy he defamed and Baseball an abject apology. Dropped chain-of-custody dude owes Baseball an apology. And Baseball owes Bud Selig a kick in the ass and a shove out the door.

He should sue Braun for defamation.

The way I look at it is this: we have 6 months until Spring Training and Braun's 1st appearance on a field since admitting guilt. That means we have 6 months to come up with the insults we throw at this disgusting, pathetic little shiat when he's on a field again.

I think that's kind of horseshiat. Pretty sure I've read that under WADA protocols  - which works just fine for the Olympics - that test would have counted just fine. It's MLB that has the extra language regarding handling of samples that Braun was able to exploit. I don't even know why we are discussing this since clearly Braun was dirty and the test was obviously valid and not tampered with.

Braun is clearly an asshole and a user, I'm not disputing that. I just think the whole "Braun got the collector fired" argument is pretty weak. I don't see why the league let him go at all other than as a knee-jerk reaction from the embarrassment of the entire case, which leads me to think Braun's legal team could have gone out of their way to say Laurenzi is a saint and a model citizen, and if the appeal was still won, MLB fires him anyway.

2013-08-19 12:42:12 PM

Fair enough. Braun isn't responsible for hiring/firing the drug testers.

He is responsible for what comes out of his own mouth though.  It just bugs me that he stood in front of a mike, knowing damn well he was dirty and the test was not tampered with, but insinuated that maybe the dude tampered with the test. Because why not? That dude was just some worthless schmuck. In conclusion, fark Ryan Braun.

The tester deserved to get fired because he didn't follow the proper protocol. When you don't follow protocol, you allow cheaters to get away with cheating because you handed them a gift-wrapped defense for the positive test. Braun obviously knew that he would still lool guilty if his only defense was that the test protocol was not followed, so he went all out to discredit the sample collector and proclaim his innocence, even though he knew he was guilty. In short, he is a douche and I hope the next Cub picher he faces puts a fastball in his ear hole.

He followed the protocol of the company that hired him. And apparently that protocol works fine for olympic-level testing.

The problem was that there is a discrepancy between the MLB protocol and the protocol used by the company that is in charge of collecting and testing.

In fairness, f*cking up the chain of custody thing and letting an opponent get off the hook DOES make it seem like the guy is a Cub fan.

That's the line Braun told that everyone believes but is a complete lie, he followed all protocols with holding the sample until the next pick up. There is no way you can tamper with a sample without it being detected and I am sure a man will throw away a good job just to screw over a Brewer player. Now if it were a cardinal player then maybe but nobody gives a shiat about Milwaukee.

FedEx regular offices were closed, but a FedEx/Kinkos was open. That was the technicality.

No there wasnt, they all close at 8pm on Saturday and dont open until Monday morning.

The technicality was argued the sample was kept in unknown conditions which they said changed the sample, which is just moronic but for those who had no idea it could be a feasible argument.
