One thing's for sure, I hope they explain that ricin cigarette on Hank's toilet.

I have a shameful confession to make. Since cutting the cord I've been all about Netflix and Hulu (and creative downloading for things I need to see Right Now). I was instantly sucked into Walking Dead (despite the ultraviolence) and Breaking Bad. But then the GF hooked me on...god help me...Supernatural. Watched all seven seasons while not tending to the Breaking Bad catalog. Look, it's all on-demand and this isn't the woman you want to argue with when she needs her Sam and Dean fix. Plus, I like the Impala.

I promise my Fark brethren that I will pull a two-day marathon of Breaking Bad, because based upon what little I have seen it truly rocks the casbah. In the last episode thread I will arrive, bringing the educated pain.

Why is there all this shame about Supernatural?  It's a fantastic show (well, seasons 1-5) and it's still going pretty strong.

I'm still absorbing the awesomeness of last week.  When Hank closed the garage door, I came out of my chair.  When he punched Walt in the face, I threw my arms in the air and tried not to yell out a bunch of crazy shiat.  Everything I've read from the creators and actors on the show make it sound like the final episodes just get better and more intense.  I don't know how that's possible, but I'm along for the ride.  What great entertainment this is.

From a Rolling Stone Q&A with Dean Norris:

That was easily the most dramatic garage-door closing in the history of television.

[Laughs] Yeah, that was a fun scene to play. When we read that, it was like, "Wow." Bryan and I both assumed - I think most people assumed - that we would play cat-and-mouse a little bit. Hank would use his information and try to not let Walt know that he knew; if Walt knew, he wouldn't let Hank know that he knew. The fact that we actually went head-to-head in the first episode took us by surprise.

Eh, I was harsh with "shame." It's just anything from CW tends to make my testicles retract like landing gear. Thing is, there really aren't any better shows on the rest of TV, and the characters are nicely written.

Plus, i gotta have that car.

It's not "shame." It's just that I usually roll my eyes at TV that focuses on the paranormal. Too often they're just terribly acted and produced. In this case, I was wrong. I love the show and am waiting for October (new season) to come around.

//allow to me reiterate...I gotta have that car, man.

I'm still going with Walt fakes his own death when he kills Hank, throwing everyone off the scent. The flashforward is him preparing to clean up loose ends

probably true. Also, I'm betting Walt eats the ricin.

The garage door. Jesus Christ. We probably rewatched that scene ten times. Hank's face. If Dean Norris doesn't pick up some gold this last season, it'll be a travesty.

Let's focus on predictions for this episode.

Lydia / Declan make it clear to Walter what's going to happen to Walt's family if Walter doesn't come and help them get their yield numbers up.

Hank snaps and tells Gomie what's going on with Walter, thus beginning the end of his career in law enforcement.

Fellow cord cutter. We've been getting the episodes that sent on hulu/Netflix on Amazon on demand. A couple bucks per episode beats a 100+ cable bill every time

I agree with all of this. Jesse, given his need to repent, considers cooperating with Hank when the latter reaches out, and the cartel comes back into play now that Walt's out of the game and they've had time to regroup.

I gotta say, I'm a bit obsessed with this show at the moment.  Far more so than anything that's been on tv previously.  I found out yesterday that a friend of mine hadn't seen any of it yet despite/because of the hype, so I bought her the first season dvd and watched the first episode with her.  We finished that season a few hours ago and she's completely hooked.  I'm this close to watching the rest of it again, even though I'm up to date and gagging for the new stuff.

I'm not going to try to predict what's going to happen next - I prefer to be surprised than to say "Ha! I knew it!".  But I do know that whatever happens, and however this whole thing wraps up, it's still (in my opinion) the best tv that I've ever witnessed, and possibly ever will witness.

It's kind of sad actually - once upon a time, movies were the bleeding edge of story telling, and tv was just dumb entertainment.  Until they stop making Superhero-movie 17 XXIV and it's sequels, my entertainment expenditure won't be going anywhere near a cinema for any foreseeable future.  In fact, it's made my purchase of a projector and sound system seem rational to the point of being (dare I say) smart.

For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, here's a video that came out a while back that is pretty damn funny. Breaking Bad as an RPG. For some reason, it won't let me link to it: http://www.collegehumor.com/video/6701398/breaking-bad-rpg

I also noticed that there's no furniture in Walt's old home. Another clue that Skyler and the kids moved out. If something truly bad had happened, then a lot of the furniture would still be there, broken up by vandals.

How fitting for Walt's old home to turn into a meth den.

And, obviously, once word got out that that's Heisenberg's house, the meth-heads probably descended on it looking for some Blue Sky that got left behind, and stole whatever they could while they were there.

My guess on the flash-forwards:

Everyone is dead.  Skyler, Walt Jr, Baby, Hank, Marie.  Someone (Cartel? Czechs? Declan? Uncle Jail Nazi and his pals?) has decided they need to wipe the slate clean.  Walt himself is presumed to be dead but he somehow survived the bloodshed, which is why the neighbour is so shocked to see him.  She's looking at ghost.

Now he's back to get revenge.   Hence the BFG.  Hence the need to retrieve the ricin.  Blaze of glory.  Everyone will die.

And than after Walt dies he meets everyone in Purgatory and they all go to hell together, holding hands.

Just making sure I have this right: In the flash forward, it shows Walt retrieving the ricin from the outlet in his bedroom. That must mean that Hank found the vial in the cigarette he smoking on the toilet in his own home where they had the party by the pool and that Walt had snuck the copy of Blades of Grass by Walter Whiteman into Hanks bathroom. Also when Hank confronted Walt in Walt's garage, that was intense.

Yeah, it's obvious it was the DEA. If it was the cartel, Declan or jail Nazis, the world wouldn't know that was the house of Heisenburg. The newspapers just would have read "Local car wash owner found dead".
