(NASCAR)   Logano is on the pole and we are at a place where even Junior can win. It's the Pure Michigan 400 (1PM ET, ESPN)   (nascar.com) divider line 371

It takes a lot to be more boring than Pocono, but Michigan has what it takes.

I'll be cleaning my grill for Bristol tailgating instead.

Logano on the pole is not a visual I needed to start my day with.

Thank you ESPN. Seeing John Clayton as a long-haired headbanger in a Slayer shirt eating Chinese takeout with chopsticks made my morning.

I won't be seeing the race today. I'm at Seca for the reunion.... all old cars. I'll post some good pics next week.

Alright I've been on a roll in the ESPN Fantasy game the past 3 weeks after sucking the entire 2nd segment before that. Let's see how I do today - trying to move into the top 80% on the season.

Drivers today are: BK (2), KyBu (18), Jr (88), the Biff (16), and the old man (55). Wish me well.

The Bestest: I've heard word Kurt to the 42 next year

So instead of being a bowling ball each week with the Flight of the Valkyries theme song blaring, the 42 would be an angry wildebeest tossed in a China shop?

Detroit just filed bankruptcy. The farkers posting in this thread today could pool their resources and buy the entire city.

How the hell can NASCAR get away with that "It's so awesome here" video?

Was still cheaper than licensing the Eminem or Clint Eastwood ones.

Ah yes, our periodic affirmation that Michigan's a tough old bird and that they'll make it out of this mess they're in. A decades-long tradition.

I have a deep seeded hatred for most of your choices.

Go Jr and MW.

Princess always looks so damn pissed off. She's like, "what am I doing here?" and we're like, "we really don't know".

I'm ok with this. Can we put Mad Max style spikes and shiat on his car?

By the way, note on the Little League World Series, they had a bit of a realignment. The Middle East/Africa region got broken up. Africa is now lumped in a region with Europe; the Middle East migrated to the Asia/Pacific region to replace Australia, who now has a region of their own.

I often envision TRD being staffed by goblin engineers.

Here's a name you haven't seen in a while. Ernie Irvin. Always think of him at Michigan.

Wonder what he has been to? Off to the Google.

Ernie was my favorite. If his could get to the front, that's where he was. Wasn't any of this "ridin' around" bullshiat.

I think he retired sometime last year.  I miss the old guy.  Mostly the GWC dogs and the Jet Dryer dogs, though.

Okay, trying this again.
