Well, he's not wrong. The LLWS umpiring in general is shaky. Behind the plate generally seems to be, well, awful at best.

He's s a douche, though.

This.

The guy behind the plate in the Canada v. Czech Republic game was especially bad.

Well they are volunters. The catcher setting up near the batter's box is legal in LL due to the trapazoidal catcher's area.

Jose Canseco, Henry Holland, and Cubs300.  Those are literally the only people in the world who care.

Jose Canseco could just light a hibachi in a closed room and go away quietly into that deep night.  No one would know for months.

And they aren't picked on skill either. I think for the most part they do a good job. The strike calls can get a little wide but mainly on the outside corner, where you are really just guessing. Also add on the fact that these guys are umpiring on TV for the first time in their lives and these are the biggest games they have ever worked, the nerves can get to you bad.

What's next? There's a PED problem plaguing MLB and Conseco will expose it?

My city's Little League pays$50 per game to ump. Not high dollar at all, but it's a great gig for high school kids.

/not really relevant

yeah but you're not eligible to umpire at the little league world series if you get paid.  all those guys work the season for free

One of the advantages of Twitter is that you get to know some of your favorite athletes and celebs without the usual filter.

Then sometimes, you find that someone you were a fan of (Canseco was an exciting ballplayer) is a complete tool.

The All-Powerful Atheismo: Jose Canseco, Henry Holland, and Cubs300. Those are literally the only people in the world who care.

I don't think you know what "literally" means. I'm pretty certain that the kid that's called out on strikes on a ball a foot outside of the strike zone cares, as does his teammates, coaches, parents and the parents of the other kids on his team.
