(Fox Sports)   Tim Tebow went 1-7 last night, for -1 passing yards, and a 0.0 QB Rating. Technically, this means we all had more passing yards than Tim did, and we didn't even play last night   (msn.foxsports.com) divider line 83
More: Interesting, Tim Tebow, passer rating, Colin Kaepernick

Fark.  Where we greenlight threads about a backup quarterback having a bad preseason game, then watch as everyone complains about how nobody will shut up about said backup quarterback.

Lifeless: That's two more than Kaepernick.

Timmy is fighting to be #1 backup on the Pats.  The guy on the 49ers fighting to be #1 backup went 6 - 9 72 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for about 25 in several scrambles.  Timmy will be lucky to make it as #3 clipboard holder.  Good thing he has that college degree to fall back on.

That's my dream job you're talking about there. Get paid a lot of money to work out, watch football, never get hit, and no one expects you to be good at your job. I can hand the ball off to a running back as well as the next guy!

It's gonna be so hilarious when Brady breaks his vagina, and Tim Tebow leads the Patriots back to the Super Bowl while averaging 12 passing yards/game.

The thing here is that in the Patriots offense, he could play just about any position and do whatever he's best at.  The key is convincing  Tebow he can, and that is obviously the part that's taking time.  And the problem is, given how the offseason went, they need him to get it now.

He ran for 30 yards and had 2 delay of game penalties

Need to simplify the play book for him.

Run left
Run right
Delay run up the middle
Hand ball to RB
Throw ball 20 yards over receiver

Someone needs to get this to the anointed one. Perhaps as a Bible-y kind of saying. Include some bit about pride ...

I'm telling you the Pats have Tebow only for the Jets' games. To humiliate the Jets. I would bet that having Tebow play QB in the preseason is a smokescreen to cover up how the Pats will really use him.

I see the Jets play the Pats in Week 2 and 7. So by week 7 if the Jets have a bad record and the Pats beat them twice especially by using Tebow, Rex Ryan will be fired.

Football is a meritocracy. That means to rule football you must be good at...football. Capitalism is not a meritocracy either. If it was, engineers would make more money than CEOs.

So Timmy should be starter for the 49ers then? I mean, he threw for more yardage in a random meaningless game.

Oh wait, things matter when it's in line with what we want to believe. They don't matter when we disagree with them.
