(Daily Mail)   Moyes is already whining like SAF, Wenger has spent £80 on a wheelie bin and stale chips, and the Special One is already stirring the pot. Colour me chuffed, it's the start of the 2013/14 English Premier League season   (dailymail.co.uk) divider line 728

Justice.

I wouldn't give a foul for punching Torres in the head, but that's just me.

Nice save!

Mell, McGregor fixed his own mistake there.

2013-08-18 11:06:58 AM
Horrible PK to give away, but glad that he saved it haha, suck it frank.  Still think Chelsea will win something like 4-0.

How about that for a villain to hero moment. Nice save McGregor, but needs better decision making.

\although I did like seeing Torres get punched in the head.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.  I wish it was knocked clean off

Pretty messy defending from Hull, only a matter of time until they concede at this rate.

2013-08-18 11:11:04 AM
This is turning into a turkey shoot... but no PK for you Lampard... bwhahahaha.

1-0 CHELSEA!

Gotta love Lampard failing to score every kind of way. I propose a missed header next.

2013-08-18 11:15:37 AM
I kind of feel sorry for Hull.  This is going to be a shellacking.

Mourinho preaching about stability? Now I've heard everything...

Lampard just broke McGregor's farking spine.

Wow, poor Hull, but that's a fantastic goal.  I'll amend my predo to 6-0 haha.

And now a double knockout kick. Down for the count...

Of course, we get the obligatory catcalls for Eva Carneiro.

And this got boring fast. Thanks Mou!

Our 1st test of the goal line tech and no goal!

2013-08-18 11:49:42 AM
Wow, HawkEye used twice in the opening weekend, both calls gotten right, no goal. Glad to see tech working as it should.

Nice goalkeeping from McGregor there.

I think that was just for demonstration purposes. There was no question about that one, really.

Looks like the 4th official had a goal watch too and was telling Jose it wasn't in.

Did the commentator just say Chelsea Lady Parts?

I went with 3 city players instead of 3 chelsea players.  Really wish I had picked up Benteke like I thought though. I have Dzeko, Silva and Zabaleta starting.

In come the Tottenham cast-offs to (hopefully) save some face.

I have BA, Matta, and hazard with Matta as my captain and BA as my vice captain. I took three Chelsea players because they get 2 matches this game week so it's an easy way to double up on points...if your players play that is.

Left for a while, amazed to find it's still 2-0. This is why I hate Mourinho's teams, as soon as he's winning he just coasts to the end. The best game I saw Madrid play with him at the helm was when Casillas got ejected at the very start, since he never got to make the team slow down.

2013-08-18 12:28:41 PM
Just wanted to drop in and say, Fark Chelsea!

Come on Hull! Epic comeback time!

2013-08-18 12:33:08 PM
Too close to Cech, but still pretty close to breaking that clean sheet.

2013-08-18 12:43:34 PM
I have a feeling Mourinho doesn't like Mata if he won't even bring him off the bench.

Or maybe he's saving him for midweek.

Perhaps, but with all the bitterness he left at Madrid, I'm going with the pessimistic outlook.

Man I was expecting an explosion of goals from players trying to impress the new/old boss.  I even predicted 3-0 in the talksport game.  Thought I lowballed it, but Hull might even get a goal here.

Could be worse. They could be playing an Israeli team in the Champions League coached by Barry Horowitz.

Well that second half was super boring.  At least spurs won this morning and we still have one more match tomorrow.

I have to say, I could get used to a constant firehose of soccer. Though I'd really like it if FIFA made their own channel, like MLB Network and NFL Network, and then they could air any random game from any random league they couldn't otherwise sell to an international audience. Stick a Russian league match on there one day, air a Nigerian game the next day, a Malaysian game the next, a Paraguayan game the next, you get the idea.

3 saved pens (that I saw) this weekend. That's pretty awesome.

If this holds I'll have fifty points to start. Not to bad since I don't know what I'm doing. Reading through the thread it seems putting my banker on arsenal was a mistake in strategy from the get go. Is this just haters hating or is there a reason for that?

It's the wise thing to do, as Arsenal will fall apart just as you think they've finally figured it out.
