(Daily Mail)   Moyes is already whining like SAF, Wenger has spent £80 on a wheelie bin and stale chips, and the Special One is already stirring the pot. Colour me chuffed, it's the start of the 2013/14 English Premier League season   (dailymail.co.uk) divider line 728

That one's for honor, but it's well-earned. Go Swansea!

I have the weirdest Bony right now.

2013-08-17 02:10:26 PM
Welbeck is stupidly playing with the ball in front of goal and gets deservedly burned.  Dumb, dumb, dumb.

2013-08-17 02:12:34 PM
BONY!
Damn, forgot I switched him with Aguero.

2013-08-17 02:20:10 PM

Nice!  I did start Bony this week.  He, Jelavic (Everton) and Enrique (Liverpool) did well for me today.

blakeosage: Is there a Fark EPL Fantasy League?

I'd be interested in one if there is (or could set one up if there's interest).

Okay, I set up a head-to-head league on the Premier League site.  The code to join is 340764-504665.  Scoring won't start until next week.

This is a straight fantasy league (pick a team of players, score points based on how they do), separate from the  FFPL.

Thanks!  This is what I get for trying to search for FFPL....which somehow is not in your post at all, so I missed it.  My mistake!

Some bright points for Arsenal:

Rosicky looked pretty good
They threatened to score even after going down a man
Man City is believed to be willing to pay  £7 million for the wheelie bin during the January transfer window

2013-08-17 06:10:45 PM
I heard on the radio that Stoke are providing a free coach service for all away games for its fans. That's a nice touch from the chairman.

The wheelie bin may be out of action by then.  Load Arsene and the stale chips in and wheel him away from Arsenal.   Ideally as soon as can be done.

eas81: NBC your commentators suck!!!!! please read this they suck!!!!!Do NOT speak ill of Arlo White... he's an honorary Seattle Sounder, having broadcast 2 years there. Very knowledgable & he should be doing the WC instead of excitable Gus.

So far, I am really liking Rebecca Lowe as the host.  She lets silence work and is very understated.  No need to talk talk talk

Agreed, I liked her when she was co-chairing ESPN's coverage of the Women's World Cup.
Also, she's quite easy on the eyes.

You stopped drinking yesterday after the matches. After watching Arsenal's shambolic performance, I started.

Palace looking good early. They, like Liverpool were yesterday, are missing that killer pass to open things up in the final third, but their defending is solid. Really pleased with the support making noise as well.
