(Daily Mail)   Moyes is already whining like SAF, Wenger has spent £80 on a wheelie bin and stale chips, and the Special One is already stirring the pot. Colour me chuffed, it's the start of the 2013/14 English Premier League season   (dailymail.co.uk) divider line 728

Langston: ScouserDuck: The both went and missed. How is there a foul one way or another?

Looked like a 50/50 to me, too.

Agreed

FFPL question: It looks like I had to resubmit my predictions today. Do they have to go in the week of the matches? I put them in when I did the signup last week

Wow, that was a nice goal from Joe Cole

Did you remember to make sure you were logged in first? The mobile site is confusing that way

Were your predictions still there?  Basically until the match happens you can change your scores and hit submit.  The submit button never goes away until the last match is played.  Those that have started are finalized so that you can't change them, but the rest are left alone with the submit button is there.  As long as you load the page and scores are there, your scores are saved in the system.

You can always do scores in advance and actually put numbers in through week 38, but can change them all the way up until the match starts.

Mine are still there and I made them 2 weeks ago.

Listening to the NBCSN commentators for Arsenal-Villa, I'm starting to notice English commentators talk a LOT less than Hispanic ones.
Gonna take a while to get used to that, I grew up watching ESPN Deportes back when it wasn't a Messi wankfest.

Oh that might've been it. I saw the submit button still there, hit it and it said "these were due by 5pm Friday blah blah blah" and it made me think that I hadn't submitted them before. Yes my scores were still there.

Wow, Fulham get the first goal after Sunderland dominates.  Poor defending on a corner leads to a towering header for a goal.

You should be fine then.  The scores update after the last game is played each day.

OK, two teams have been on their back feet the first half score first.

POST's brother plays for Arsenal.  Good, under rated signing by Wenger

2013-08-17 11:13:29 AM
Post has now signed for Arsenal according to reports.

2013-08-17 11:16:20 AM
Seeing as POST is the unsung hero of the EPL, I guess he should be the name on the FFPL kit I'm working on, but what number does he wear?

2013-08-17 11:16:54 AM
Maybe they should widen the goal by a couple of inches?

I really should get around for signing up for the League, but I'm just being lazy. Can't get NBCSN here, so I have to miss the Gunners game, still a bit bummed about Luiz Gustavo not signing in for Arsenal after all.

Everton level 1-1.  Great strike by Ross Barkley.

Questionable penalty call.

Wiioooiih! Fark Sunderland.

And Arsenal gets screwed with a penalty.

I keep refusing to put benteke on my fantasy team because I can't fathom having a villain on my top three...but damn if he doesn't rack up points.

Really hope I started Benteke.

Arsenal supporters, shouldn't you guys be down to 10 for the first goal?  Everyone on BBC thinks the keeper should have been sent off originally.  Maybe this last peno makes up for that.

2013-08-17 11:25:43 AM
Also Everton has come from behind and is 2-1 up at Carrow Road.

2013-08-17 11:27:15 AM
And now Arsenal IS down to ten men

The thing I would say about the Arsenal penalty is that it looks like Koscielny's off-knee hits the back foot of the villa player before he get the ball.  Rarely called, but possibly correct.

This ref loves carding Arsenal, it's getting ridiculous.

Arsenal-Villa ref should find a new profession.
