I liked it, subbs, those f8ckers deserve everything that's coming their way........and more.

Normally, I'm not a fan of Animal Rights people. But these aren't PETA people, but anti cruelty folks.
If you see the entire thing and think the "horse roping" thing is entertainment that's sad; I've never seen that event at a Rodeo.

I thought they called it horse tripping, and nope, I've never seen that at a rodeo.  Looks like an excuse to send a horse to a glue factory.  What a waste.

Neither have I (Houston LS&R definitely doesn't do that). That's pretty farked up.

A cop shutting off their dashcam for any reason should be grounds for dismissal.

I think it's genius on the part of the cops. It shifts the blame completely.

Exactly. Holding that conversation while the dashcam was recoding was no accident. Cops were still arseholes to do an unwarranted stop, though.

This.

The dashcam power button should be attached to an ejection seat, imo.

jeez...i like rodeos but never seen bullshiat like that at one.

I rather think that too...they know it's going to blow up and got 'on record' as they were being ordered to harass the guy from their boss as it goes down.

Yep, I thought that was a pretty obvious.

I didn't think the cops were so bad. They were just doing their job and seem very unhappy about it. Remember this are just low payed patrol officers. It's the jack hole that ordered them to harass the guy that should be brought up on charges.

okay, not genius but.....

Yeah this stuff is pretty farked.  Get your shiat together Oregon.

I hope so. Also what kind of sick wierdos like to go to a "rodeo" where they break horses' legs on purpose, ew.

And it's a beautiful thing - with any luck, some nice juicy stinky shiat will get on the shot-callers for a change, and not just the human dogs who do their dirty work.
Never, ever take money to do evil for another man he lacks the stones or commitment to do for himself.

Curious now about the mention in the article about a previous (settled) case involving them fabricating evidence. Given that they're still on the job, one wonders if they might have been left holding the bag by their higher-ups on that one.

My guess is it ain't their first rodeo.

fark those cops and fark the rodeo organizers for allowing that shiat to happen (the horse tripping).

I do have to say though: the way the guy did the youtube video was very professional-looking and stuff. I'm watching the video thinking "fark those cops, ooooh, the font used on this presentation is NICE!", lol!

I love horseback riding.  I used to spend my weekends on horseback.  I hate the rodeo.

Both of these. They shouldn't even be able to turn them off.

This is how Dorner should have taken down the LAPD. Killing the families of corrupt cops was the wrong way to go about effecting change.

harrydorcas: You know what? The cops did the activists some wrong, but whether we like it or not, Rodeo is going to disappear anytime or the near future. So both of these groups should stop hurting each other, and I'll give them a Rodeo Cowboy for a prize.

I've seen this guy's videos before.  He really seems to focus on outright animal cruelty.  Caged pigeon shoots.  Dirtbag rodeos like the one in this video.  Cock fighting.  Yes, he's an activist, but I don't get the impression that he's a "shut down all rodeos / free the fur-bearing weasels / honey is bee slavery" kind of activist.  I think he just wants cruel sideshow crap like what's going on in this video to stop.  I don't disagree with him on that.

reverse cowgirl, on the other hand...

2013-08-14 08:57:22 PM
Yeah, those cops appear to be sick of the rodeo board using them as a private security force with arrest powers. Good for them.

2013-08-14 08:57:52 PM
They're just serving special interests and protecting their jobs, that's what they're supposed to do, right?

2013-08-14 08:58:21 PM
yeah, the entire department needs to fry and that rodeo board should all be tried for some vicious form of bribery and ... there's gotta be something else in there.

I actually think the cops on the street are the Hero's here. They've basically created a 'oh, my bad' situation to expose this entire thing. They've been burned before by their boss, by 'just following orders'.

If you're inclined to call people, you might also want to call the Rodeo Board or whatever, as well as any professional organizations they belong to such as the BBB. Hit the ones who stand to lose money - you're more likely to get results.

There are two distinct Oregons, and the division is slightly east of Bend. Thankfully more voters live west of the mountains.
