Good, because that shiat was stupid. A minimal amount of decorum is not a bad thing necessarily.

I do wish they would let the players wear shorts.

This post.  This one right here.  This explains perfectly why golf has a problem reaching a younger audience.

Golf has never, ever been targeted towards a younger audience. It's the attempts to market the game to that younger audience that alienates the core viewers and players.

I was hoping that they were going to have either midgets or monkeys serve as jockeys, and whip the caddies with little riding crops.

Because that would be some must-watch TV right there.

That's a shame. Those are pretty funny.

In exchange for eliminating the races, can we please allow caddies to "club up" the morons who yell on every tee shot?

/now that would be entertaining

In a related link on this article I finally learned why people shout "Baba Booey." I hope they all get cancer.

Can we at least agree that the "IN THE HOLE!!!" guy needs to die? Because he does.

Yup, but that shiat started with the clown show atmosphere at Scottsdale, and the PGA Tour actively encouraged it for a number of years.

I agree that they shouldn't have to do that.

/because they should get to use golf carts. And they should get to modify them to make them faster or cooler looking.

See: Bubba Watson's hover-cart. Also it's one hole of the TOUR at the equivalent of a frat party, who cares if a couple of caddies CHOOSE to race?

So Roger Godell is running the PGA? It's not like they are having caddy races at the Masters. It's ok to entertain people.

Wait...are we talking about the PGA or the GOP?

If you think about it, having the caddies bust their asses solely for the amusement of people that pay thousands of dollars to sit on that hole is about as GOP as it gets.

I just think it's stupid and serves no greater purpose.

The caddie races were awesome at Colonial. I'm guessing the caddy complaining is a tub that never wins. The vast majority of them look like they have fun with it

They're not even allowed to race on Caddy Day, from 1:00 - 1:15?
