(Daily Mail)   The trend of putting offensive stuff on receipts continues across the pond, but to be fair, not everyone in London might know what "Farkers all come at once" means   (dailymail.co.uk) divider line 33

I still don't know from reading the article what word it was.  F*****s could be lots of things.  F*ckers, F*ggots, Falcons, Fabrics, Factors, Facials, Faeries, Fairies, Fajitas, Falsies, Fannies, Farmers, Fathers, Fatties...

She complained 3 times?
WTF does she want?
If I read the article correctly (and there's no guarantee that I did) it wasn't even her receipt.

I used to be proud to run a crew in a deli that could get "hit by a bus" and take it
You would see the buses pull up unexpectedly, and disgorge a few hundred instant customers.
And we would leap into action. Gave them fast, courteous service, Moved them in and out quickly, and make sure to put extra nappies and what not including adverts in the sacks when you bag them up at the register. Free coffee and a sandwich for the driver, for being nice enough to bring us the business. And as soon as they leave. Restock and clean and get ready, because it could happen again in an few minutes.
You were either "on the bus" or "off the bus" with my crew.

Well from many of your past posts in these types of threads, you actually know how to take care of customers and act like you want too also.

After this kind of thing has happened enough times, you'd think people would learn not to put insults on receipts. Particularly in a case like this, where it was obviously not intended to insult a specific person. I mean, what was the employee hoping to accomplish by putting the comment there?

I once ran into my barista at Target and she said, "Hi, medium latte." and then explained: to her, we don't have names, we're just drink orders.  That's fair.  To me she was just cute and chubby.

I remember when I worked retail in a mall a decade ago, walk in traffic would pretty clearly rise and fall in waves.  My theory was that passers-by would (be amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood) see an empty store and keep going.  Once the store had a critical mass of about 2 customers, people would start to stream in wondering what the gall-darn fuss is all about.  Really made it hard to not hate the average mall sheep.

Ooh, I was there recently, sat at the table with the red stool to the right of the photo. I didn't pay any attention to my receipt, but the cake I bought was very nice.

One time I got a receipt that called me Order #342. I have a name, this isn't the book "1984" where everyone is just a number.

1?  1?  1?

How is everything 1?

In America it's $1.29, $0.99, $2.79, etc.

You would think after this kind of thing has happened enough times people wouldn't be stupid enough to care!

first thing I thought of (not posting the whole thing... your welcome)

Yes I quite agree with you, I mean what's the point of being treated like a sheep, I mean I'm fed up with going abroad and being treated like a sheep, what's the point of being carted around in buses surrounded by sweaty mindless oafs from Kettering and Boventry in their cloth caps and their cardigans and their transistor radios and their 'Sunday Mirrors', complaining about the tea, 'Oh they don't make it properly here do they not like at home' stopping at Majorcan bodegas, selling fish and chips and Watney's Red Barrel and calamares and two veg and sitting in cotton sun frocks squirting Timothy White's suncream all over their puffy raw swollen purulent flesh cos they 'overdid it on the first day'!

Poor girl. I hope she's ok. She could easily have died by asphyxiating while huffing indignantly. I just hope she's able to safely get out of that savage country where they obviously haven't heard yet what a horrible crime against all human decency it is to offend someone.

/help! help! I'm being offended!

She got her apology from the place, STFU biatch. On another note, I've never worked somewhere where you could input cute little messages on a receipt.

CSB time: Back when I worked for an auto place, I was processing a woman's credit card for a two grand down payment on a new car. I noted the invoice number came up 666. I sent the receipt and (teacher's union) credit card back with the salesman for a signature. A couple minutes later, I hear raised voices echoing down the hall, and the salesman hurries back, the service manager heading over to see what's up. They were in a huddle for a couple minutes and I heard snickering, so I poked my head out to see what was going on. I got the card handed back and told to charge it again...so she could get a different invoice number. It was even explained to her that there was a hold of a few days on charges, but she didn't care - she was perfectly fine being out four grand for that time, so long as dat eeeeebil number wasn't on there. Mercifully the customer didn't come back to hassle me, but the salesman came back to snerk with me about it once she left. She decided it was all my fault, and said that I was "trying to tear apart the fabric of the universe" and I was a "cosmic disruption." The latter became one of my favorite nicknames. The people they let teach children....

One item of each in the order.

Which means that the receipt in the picture is for staff use only and was never given to a customer. Which does reinforce that Ms. Sensitive-plant in TFA complained after seeing it lying around where it was none of her farking business.

'Yeah we've been rammed'

Well, cashier, we're glad for you too, but what you did last night doesn't belong on the receipt.

Ever notice how the Fail articles that are most poorly written (repetitive paragraphs w/ typos) and filled w/ stock photos have a byline of Daily Mail Reporter?  I think it's an auto-generator.

I hate using the RSS feed sometimes, I can never tell when a link is going to the Fail.

It was obvious as soon as I landed that the story was going to be incoherent outrage that wouldn't go anywhere.

He obviously didn't get in trouble, so why not? If the owner doesn't care about thin-skinned customers, let 'em find another place or stuff it. Reminds me of passive-aggressive Yelp reviews written by people who already hate a place but go just so they can slag on it.

I heard of a hotel worker who checked in a rough looking biker and put a note on the man's account that said "This guy looks like a drug dealer!"  Unfortunately for the worker, that note was entered in a spot where it was printed on the registration, which the guest saw.  And it turned out he was the CEO of a Fortune 500 company.

Was it a pharmaceutical company?
