This Looks Fun: flak attack: It's not the number of interceptions he throws that gives Romo the nickname Mr. Interception.  It's the timing.   If the game is close and it's near over, you can damn near guarantee a Romo interception is coming.

Ha! I dunno. I like Romo, but probably just because he gets garbage he doesn't earn. There are enough dbags and aholes in the league to give crap to. Why lie about facts just because you want so badly to hate the Cowboys? It's silly. Plus, as a team who hasn't had a QB since Daunte* (no, he doesn't count), I'd kill for a guy like Romo. We'd have been to 3 Super Bowls or more if his time in the league was in Minnesota.

I can agree with MOST of that [throwin shade at that Minnesota comment there at the end]. However, I like what you said about SO many other people being deserving of criticism and ire. He's a nice man, he's a good teammate, and he's a good player. I think Flacco got a ton of shiat he didn't deserve, too. I'm glad he got a SB win so people will maybe get off his back now. And it's sad that I have to say MAYBE. I think his haters got so used to hating him that it'll be impossible for them to just shut up & move on.

Flacco. He's like, the nicest guy ever. You can't hate that guy. Look at him. He looks like Bert. How can you hate Bert?

Pretty much this.  His biggest problem is that he won't throw it away in those situations.  The other problem is because the line is shiat, he doesn't get the time he needs.  I will say again what I have said for these many Tony years: he is not a great quarterback.  The flipside is that he isn't a terrible quarterback.  He is a fair to good quarterback.  The problem is that is behind a passable to fair offensive line.  If he was better or the line was better, (or ideally, both) we wouldn't be having this conversation.  But that's always the case isn't it?

Di Atribe: robsul82: Di Atribe: Mr "Higher Completion Percentage than Drew Brees"

Romo - 64.7%

Brees - 65.6% (67.2% since becoming a Saint)

Oh if you want to talk career QBR,  though.... ;)

Look, I ain't tryin to say that Romo is BETTER than Brees. It's more like, "Hey look at these numbers of dudes that you respect & compare them to Romo's." That's all. Ain't tryin to Romo-jack.
