I guess his son is managing a lot of the aspects of the team today. So even her probably wouldn't sell it.

Imagine watching Sharknado on that screen!

Patriots are #2? Man, I remember the time when they were so bad, they were really close to being relocated to St, Louis. The only reason they didn't go is because Robert Kraft would not let the team out of their stadium lease.

Love him or hate him, no matter.  Jerry Jones knows how to market the product, even in down times. The fact that the Cowboys franchise is 1 billion WITH A B worth more than any other is not an accident. He is making changes, and this latest draft is real evidence. He wants to be GM?  OK, but now he has alot of really cured NFL minds around him. There is some hope. Parcells should have stayed 1 year more and he could be that GM and Jerry would have sat in his suite drinking from red cups full of god knows what and Dallas would be on another 3/5 or 4/4 SB run. You watch. It's happening. Dallas is looking alot more solid this year. One draft makes alot of difference. This defense will dominate.

Actually, I think it was believed that Cooper was the far superior athlete of the three but those in the know. But his degenrative neck condition made doctors at the time tell him to bail on football before his college days were even properly begun.

Your first 3 sentences are spot on. After that, you start to fail. Jerry is brilliant at marketing. Not many teams could pull off failing on the field while succeding off the field at the level the Cowboys have, for as long as they have. That seriously takes an amazing amount of skill. No jokes or sarcasm.

That being said, they still suck ON the field. I'd rather root for a team worth 2 easy payments of $35.99 that wins than a team worth $2b that constantly fails and underperforms.

There was also a commercial with Jerry and Troy ... does that count?

The above is perfect evidence at the marketing skills of Jerry Jones. Look at how he's managed to hypnotize true believers like Lt. Cheese Weasel. No matter what, fans like him will have faith in the Cowboys year after year despite Jerry Jones' boneheaded moves, like resigning Tony "Mr. Interception" Romo to a long term contract. It's sad.

Hypnotize? Really? So, we should just jump ship & find a new team, right? Being a fan of the Cowboys doesn't necessarily translate into endorsing every single move Jerry Jones makes. He's a good businessman. I think that's fairly common knowledge.

And to your little dig there? Romo is also Mr "More Yards than Tom Brady" and Mr "Higher Completion Percentage than Drew Brees" and Mr "More Touchdowns than Eli Manning."

1. Mr Interception is 29th in history for pass interception ratio:  http://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_int_perc_career.ht m Ahead of scrubs like Eli Manning, Big Ben, Dan Marino, Troy Aikman, Kurt Warner, Johnny Unitas, etc. It's almost like "Mr. Interception" isn't a very fitting nickname for him at all.

2. So what if people like an unsuccessful team run by a tyrant. It's a big part of being a fan. Otherwise you're just a fair weather fan, and that's worse IMO. There's no reason for you to try to weaponize hope and pretend that thinking the best for things you like is in any way a bad thing. I don't think the Vikings are going to win the Super Bowl every year, but I do look at the schedule most years and guess that we've got a great shot at a deep playoff run. Why is that so bad?

Thanks. I was raised a Vikes fan. I know no other loyalties in football. If Dan Snyder had purchased the Vikings, I would still be a Vikes fan. Jerry Jones, Robert Craft, who cares? I am not a Billionaire fan. I'm a football fan. 2 wins or 12 wins, I love my team and I can't help but see the best in them.

It's not the number of interceptions he throws that gives Romo the nickname Mr. Interception.  It's the timing.  If the game is close and it's near over, you can damn near guarantee a Romo interception is coming.

No you can't. Just STFU about it already. He has the highest 4th quarter QBR in the league.
