(Opposing Views)   While trying to recover from a knee injury and arguing with his coach about playing time in the preseason, RG3 still found the time to let everyone know he's cool with gay players in the NFL   (opposingviews.com) divider line 12

Griffin, who starred as rookie for the Redskins last season and is recovering from offseason knee surgery, added, "My view on it is, yes, I am a Christian, but to each his own. You do what you want to do. If some Christians want to look at being gay as a sin, then thinking about other women, committing adultery-or any of those other sins that are in the Bible-those are sins, too. And God looks at all of us the same way,"

More Christians should follow this lead.

cookiefleck: ... But Tebow gets a pass?

If he does, it likely wobbles in the air, goes about 6 yards, and isn't caught by anybody.

Griffin concluded his remarks by saying "bigotry is a terrible thing that needs to be eradicated in America.  I pray that I can help bring people together and never be divisive or do anything that supports racism or intolerance."  Then he put on his Redskins helmet.

SenorBenedict: i can't think of him with "Super Beta Prostate" coming into my head, because during that thirty second spot the name is repeated like one hundred times.

I always find myself thinking the same thing during that commercial. Theissman says at any stadium he'd go to "the first bathroom he could find," and I think to myself, Well, yeah, Joe most folks do go to the first bathroom they can find when they have to piss. Very few people see a bathroom and say to themselves, "Well, I have to go, but let's see if there's another bathroom along the way."

nmrsnr: RG3 seems like a stand-up guy.

I was more amused by this: Chris Culliver said "I don't do the gay guys man. I don't do that. No, we don't got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do. Can't be with that sweet stuff. Nah ... can't be ... in the locker room man. Nah."

Methinks he doth protest too much.

Agreed.  I came here to comment about that.

So he doesn't do the gay guys, so he must do the "straight" guys?

DROxINxTHExWIND: The first time he throws a touchdown or scambles for 40 yards, you and everyone like you will be cheering and acting like you were never critical.

There are plenty that do. They usually don't make the news. Nice to see that quote from RG3.

I seldom agree with Donovan McNabb, but how is having your injured quarterback doing DAILY press conferences during camp helpful?
