It's shocking that he answered a question asked of him in an interview.

/Imagine the outrage if he said "no comment".

Griffin, who starred as rookie for the Redskins last season and is recovering from offseason knee surgery, added, "My view on it is, yes, I am a Christian, but to each his own. You do what you want to do. If some Christians want to look at being gay as a sin, then thinking about other women, committing adultery-or any of those other sins that are in the Bible-those are sins, too. And God looks at all of us the same way,"

More Christians should follow this lead.

RG3 seems like a stand-up guy.

I was more amused by this: Chris Culliver said "I don't do the gay guys man. I don't do that. No, we don't got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do. Can't be with that sweet stuff. Nah ... can't be ... in the locker room man. Nah."

Methinks he doth protest too much.

well, now that they have RG3's blessing, I guess all that's left is for Tebow is give the thumbs up and they can start the gay orgy on the 50-yard line.

Even more impressive considering he went to a Baptist school - although I think he ended up at Baylor because a coach bailed on his first choice and Baylor has a very good track program.

He'd be the cornballest brother in the land.

Why does this keep getting repeated when everyone knows that it was Glenn Burke?

He normally only does press conferences on Mondays. He did a little impromptu thing yesterday, but he usually only does them once a week.

His take seems pretty reasonable, and more in line with Jeebus than 99% of the evangelicals out there.

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver said, "I don't do the gay guys man. I don't do that. No, we don't got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do. Can't be with that sweet stuff. Nah ... can't be ... in the locker room man. Nah."

Griffin concluded his remarks by saying "bigotry is a terrible thing that needs to be eradicated in America.  I pray that I can help bring people together and never be divisive or do anything that supports racism or intolerance."  Then he put on his Redskins helmet.

HE'S ON THE DOWWWWN LOW!!!

Kerry Rhodes is out of a job last i checked.  one of the articles about a month ago came out and said, "teams may be wary of the potential backlash, after pictures surfaced shwoing Rhodes embracing a man Rhodes described as a 'business associate'...."

What was odd about Rhdoes' response (side note:  KERRY.  COME OUT, MAN.  COME ON.  NO1CURR.) was how.....odd, it was.  it was like, "pictures were released which were taken in a trusting environment by a business associate, taken in an environment of discretion and confidentiality...."  he wasn't sayign "THOSE PICTURES ARE FAKE!", or, "THAT AIN'T ME", he kinda sidestepped it.  but his reasoning itself kinda hinted that ther was something there.  "trusting environment" or whatever he said.  he meant he thought he could trust the man in his arms in a pool?

I'm sure there are. But as you said, they don't make the news. The ones that choose to make the news should do it for reasons like this, and it's too bad they won't.

This made me laugh pretty hard, and then I realized that there's an unfortunately likelihood of this occurring.  Playing on Cat Litter Field for Shanny the Crippler is not an ideal career situation from an injury standpoint.  I suppose you could put him behind the Bears O-line and make Barry Switzer the OC if you want to finish the job in one season.

Wow, amazing that he found the time between sitting around waiting for PT sessions and talking on the phone with his coach once every couple of days. How DO these multimillionaires DO it?

I like his statement, but subby really needs to notch down the hero worship to about 1% of what it currently is, it's not like he drug himself down the block over broken glass with shattered legs and a sprained wrist to make it to this interview...

That's the gist of it right there. We are all sinners, we are responsible for our own sins, and don't judge others for theirs.

Worst I ever saw was an exhibition game in the mid 90's in Toronto(I think), one of the baseball stadiums anyway, and there were big ass seams between the astroturf sections, I could easily see anyone who played on that field catching one of those and twisting his farking ankle. Whatever game it was, it was memorable because Madden rambled on for like 45 minutes about the opening roof on the goddamned stadium...

It may - MAY, mind you - have something to do with the fact that RG3's return to football is one of the most watched things in DC since Bill Clinton's penis left town.

// dunno if he's calling/hosting the conferences, if the team is shoving him out, or if these are lockerside chats or what

I have to disagree here. I liked Griffith coming out of college and was glad to see him start well. However, the complete media fellatio of this guy is getting VERY old. If you listen to ESPN or NFL Network long enough you'll start to think he cured cancer. Just chill on the Griffith hype guys or some of us will look forward to his downfall.
