He should set himself on fire and run in the stage screaming "FREEDOM". That'd garner attention.

Oh no, I've been called a retard on an online forum. Ouch.

Come on people, we can't do anything silly here! This is Fark, and we have to act respectable! Or something.

Ok, I've used up my trolling quota for the day.

Charlie Condon is becoming really annoying for some reason. He's mad because he had to wait in line just like everyone else.

The man is just insane. What do you want to bet he'll somehow manage to work this in his campaign for governor?

Read down a bit...

"My mama was an English teacher," Bethea said. "She might come back and put a hex on me" if she supported the grammatically challenged slogan.

But commission member Barry Krell of Charleston supported the tag line.

"My wife is an English teacher, and I know about hexes," Krell said.

once, the superintendent of our school system sent a fax to the high school because he tried 10 times over a 10 minute period to get through and the line was busy every time.

The really hilarious part of this article is the name of the candidate for congress: Steve Lefeminine. You suppose he has a chance?

zorgon , You're supposed to be funny here. Not a political stiff.

Heh heh... Condom...

Hodges really wants Condon to win the Republican primary badly... Condon is abrasive, and files lawsuits against the Governor about every other day. While this appeals to what I call the "Red Meat" Republicans, Hodges' people will very easily paint him to be a "loony", as they did in the article about him calling the show.

The guy Hodges' people are really worried about is Mark Sanford, former Congressman from the Low Country. Sanford is rich, has a MBA from the University of Virginia, and can really ride the middle ground on all issues. Plus, he's gonna be really good on television. He's an attractive candidate; much moreso than Hodges, who seems very patrician-like.

How do I know Hodges' people are afraid of Sanford? Look at a copy of The State from last Thursday. Front page is Dick Harpootlian (Chairman of the SC Dem Party) lambasting Sanford on his record in Washington (which is pretty much flawless... he did vote against every pork-barrel project that came along, even if it was in SC, which is not a great idea, since South Carolinians love that pork when it's in our own state), and on the fact that he wasn't born in SC, etc.

In short, Condon's perceived by Hodges' people to be a lightweight, and you can see that in how they blew him off in the television show, and in this article.

Sanford's the guy they're afraid of, and for good reason.
