What goes on in an anti-choice clinic?  They sit you down and yell, "YOU'RE A WHORE!"?

2013-08-13 01:57:54 PM
Now that is chutzpah.

Diogenes: What goes on in an anti-choice clinic?  They sit you down and yell, "YOU'RE A WHORE!"?

More like "You're a whore, and here's some intentionally misleading 'medical' information for you that could post a great risk to your own health, but lying and endangering you is OK because Jesus"

They've turned 'blaming the victim' into an art form.

They can't take what they dish. Color me shocked.

F*ck every single one of these anti-choice people.

2013-08-13 02:11:03 PM
That is sadly not very surprising.

2013-08-13 02:11:54 PM
Wow, that's some excellent circular logic.

We demand you close this clinic because our quality of life is being reduced due to our own protests!

Sorry, Subs, but you're wrong about the first half of that. The anti-choice group is protesting the newly opened women's clinic (which does abortions) that happens to be in the same spot as Dr. Tiller's old clinic. There is no anti-choice women's clinic here.

Bears some similarity to Republicans blaming Obama for stirring up racial tensions.

Basically they use tons of misleading information to guilt trip the pregnant woman into keeping the baby.

Next thing you know, a small minority will take over congress and start complaining that their efforts to sabotage the economy are working.

Or into carrying to term so that a "nice" Christian couple can adopt it*.

True, but the fundamental logic applies.  "People shouldn't be forced to see the signs we're waving!"  It's still blaming the victim.

In addition, the groups say it is inappropriate for schoolchildren to see the protests and graphic signs associated with a clinic performing abortions.

Regardless of what you think of abortion, it seems like an odd decision to open another clinic on the site of that house of horrors.

I wonder....can you use unethical and immoral methods to bring about a moral change? Or does winning via evil taint your end result? I guess that sort of question is lost on the pro choice crowd.

Also they make utterly false claims (which I shall not repeat) about the health consequences for women who have abortions.

You've got to be trolling. That clinic was renowned for its compassion and for the excellent standards of care it provided. Doctor Tiller was an American hero who spent his entire life working for women in the most heartbreaking circumstances imaginable.

House of horrors? That location is easily accessable to highways and was also already setup in a fashion that makes sense to their operation. How is this decision odd? I will tell you what is odd. The chiropractic clinic a few doors down that apparently sells used cars. That's odd.

I think you're thinking of the other guy, Gosnell, not Tiller.

Did you mean to say "Pro-Life" there instead of "Pro-Choice"?

It's like moving next door to an airport, and complaining about the loud jets. They were there first, you retarded anti-choice NIMBYs.

Nabb, someone should have counseled you on your option to abort that comment.

2013-08-13 02:24:39 PM
I'm going to tun out any article that calls people "anti-choice" or, conversely, "pro-death."  I'm sure people who oppose abortion think there are plenty of choices people should be able to make about their lives and children, and people who promote abortion have  plenty of instances where they unconditionally support the continuance of human life (including, in many cases, the later stages of pregnancy).   Trying to win by forcing your argument into the terminology is idiotic.

Pro-life. You know is pro-life? Batman.

Pro-choice? Seems kinda Joker-ish.

Anti-choice/women's-rights groups are complaining that anti-choice/women's-rights protestors are a nuisance to the community?

A friend of mine and her husband adopted a non-caucasian, non-asian baby so I don't see the...oh wait, she's Jewish.  Nevermind.

Both sides really. There's some on the pro choice side that tend towards the extreme....but in their defense pro choice abortion doctors face a very real threat of assassination for sticking to their guns. Then there's the pro life crowd...who seem to think its totally cool to do whatever it takes to stop abortion - up to and including murdering the opposition.

I think on the whole tho I despise the pro life crowd. They use unethical and immoral tactics to defend their concept of morality.

Ahh. Yeah, iDevices in general are not very helpful in the auto-correct department.

I truly believe every mother has the right to murder their baby as long as it's still inside them. What's the big deal?

I'm in between calls while reading this thread so I might lag behind the discussion a bit when things pick up he and there.
