The National Enquirer claims to have heard from a friend of the Oscar-nominated actor that he is in two minds

Surely the movie companies already have enough footage of him (that they own) to simply CGI him. Why pay 100mil when you can pay 30mil for a hanful of clever programmers?

Mugato: Are they going to get around to making a good one?

I thought the Wolverine was petty good. The first two thirds of that movie was actually a really good character study.

How long are these 4 movies going to take to make? Cause Wolverine's immortal and as far as I know Jackman ain't.

Wolverine isn't immortal in the comics, either. He just ages very slowly.

Well whatever, the Origins movie had him looking the same age in the Civil War so essentially, immortal.

Sigh.

My point being, is that Jackman isn't getting any younger and Wolvie would look the same during Jackman's tenure playing him which would be 2001-2020? or so.

Damn it.  I was hoping they would offer him some cash for a sequel of The Fountain.

I thought it was pretty good too. It was interesting to see the whole "non-omnipotent" superhero angle. That and all the tropes from all the times the Logan-in-Japan story has been told in comics, including the Silver Samurai.

I also really liked the way they gave the Silver Samurai an augmented weapon, just like I enjoyed Optimus Prime's axe from Transformers 3. It's pretty good to see those getting traction in popular media.

Coincidentally, my interest in the X-films was predicated upon whether or not they'd make Wolverine finally take a backseat. He's a very useful supporting character, but I am sick to death of Wolverine and His Amazing Friends. Let the rights go back to Marvel.

With four more I would say that there probably isn't a character that has been reprised more by a single actor in a wide release film than Jackman as Wolverine. The only ones that I can think of that come close are Leonard Nimoy as Spock, Robert Englund as Freddy, and the cast of Harry Potter.

Is it just me or does that seem kind of cheap. I mean it is 4 movies, and you can't really do an X-men movie (or at least too many of them) without Wolverine. And I can't really see them casting someone else as Wolverine. Sure the origin movie and X-3 were bad but they made tonnes of money. It would be like trying to recast Jack Sparrow.

Logan has actually fathered several children. Too bad he's killed every one of them he knew about...

If they are really offering him that much, the studio is stupid. I bet the last two movies wouldn't even make $100M together.

As crappy as the wolverine movies can be Hugh Jackman owns the character and makes a great wolverine. The major things I wish the movies would leave alone are the claws. Unless the adamantium is ripped from his body from magneto during the fatal attraction story line leave the claws alone!

Also the wolverine shows the silver samurai with a glowing hot adamantium sword chop off wolverines claws. It was my understanding that once the metal cooled and cured it could not be reheated and is indestructible. They even mention that in X2.

Well, I don't want to spoil it, but he's not the same Silver Samurai from the comics. He's not a mutant and he's not exactly a samurai. He basically just shows up at the end for a "boss fight".

I didn't like what they did personally, but it's not as bad as what they did to Deadpool.

Yes, this drove me crazy...even if you look up Silver Samurai's powers on Wikipedia, it specifically states that his sword can cut through anything except adamantium.
