Well... current Red Sox shortstop Stephen Drew is hitting .422 since the trade, so I'm pretty sure Red Sox fans are pretty ok with it. Personally, I'm just happy Iglesias gets the chance to play every day. Good kid, I hope he does well.

Not only do the Red Sox have the best record in the AL, they have the third best record in the league. If the Sox were tanking this season then I might have some gripes with their trades. Glad that Inglesias is doing well.

Nor Alan Trammell's number.  Hopefully they get around to it soon, but they seem to always wait way too long.  Tram and Lou might have to be dead to get such treatment.

That's pretty shameful.

Maybe it's because of the Red Wings, but I think that retiring a number should be more distinguished than the Hall of Fame.  If you're not good enough for the Hall, I think you're REALLY not good enough to have your number retired.


As a 50 year old A's fan, it is my firm opinion those two should have their numbers retired. HoF credentials can be argued, but those two WERE the Tigers.
