2004-01-12 09:51:16 AM
So, just bomb the fog.

/didn't read it

2004-01-12 09:51:55 AM
That's fogged up.

Diesel powered, no doubt.

/didn't read the story, either.

2004-01-12 09:53:43 AM
The dumbest thing I've heard today...so therefore, look for it to join SDI, a manned mission to Mars, and trickle down economics as the "next great idea" that the US will try.

/thanks alot, Germany

They should simply make the plant look like a farm. Use animitronic animals. Or animatronic elmos. Now that would fog the mind and confuse the senses.

Just like this comment. :-)

2004-01-12 09:54:21 AM
I hope this fog doesn't turn the Germans inside out. That would be much worse than that flesh eating virus I read about.

2004-01-12 09:55:55 AM
Foghorn Leghorn still not funny.

2004-01-12 09:56:41 AM
Wait, I thought we were trying to look for alternative sources of energy? We just closed down one nuke plant a couple of months ago. Why not let the terrorist blow them up? It would speed up the process a little.

2004-01-12 09:57:07 AM
Or so the Germans would have us think....

2004-01-12 09:57:59 AM

2004-01-12 09:58:34 AM
So, I guess they never heard of GPS navigation?

2004-01-12 10:00:09 AM
Who let the German's watch X-men?

2004-01-12 10:01:47 AM
Artificial fog? Preposterous! Why, it'd take a nuclear power station to provide the energy to turn the water into steam!

/beats diesel, anyway.

2004-01-12 10:01:57 AM
Your nuclear power plant wants AAA. Or Stingers. Yeah, that's it, Stingers.

2004-01-12 10:02:09 AM
Vee must cover zee plant wit fog, bevor zee Germans get here!

2004-01-12 10:02:54 AM

Wait....why not hire Foghat to protect them? Aren't they looking for work?

2004-01-12 10:05:08 AM
Some fog machine contractor is going to be making a lot of deutchemarks.

2004-01-12 10:06:11 AM
I'm from Nova Scotia and, according to this train of thought, we are highly protected from any kind of terrorist attack.

... but now that I think about it, one of our foggiest area's, Peggy's Cove, still had a horrendous plane crash - anyone remember Swiss Air Flight 111?

That way instead of people intentionally crashing into the nuclear reactors they can do so by accident - far better!!

2004-01-12 10:06:23 AM
Why, it'd take a nuclear power station to provide the energy to turn the water into steam!

You don't make fog by turning water into steam. You make it by turning the wate particals into tiny little droplets (usually using sound waves).

2004-01-12 10:08:34 AM
Mayoboy - there went the science

2004-01-12 10:08:42 AM
wate particals = water particles

Particle man surrenders

2004-01-12 10:12:49 AM
Or just switch to wind/hydro/solar and skip nuclear.

Oh, corrupt private interests. Forgot.

2004-01-12 10:14:16 AM
Green politicians say precautionary measures can't eliminate risk of terror attack, call for swift exit from nuclear energy

I presume they don't want to use fossile fuel, so where exactly do they plan to get power? Do they want to cover most of the nation in solar panels and windmills? Or would they just prefer that the country return to an eighteenth-century agrarian economy?

2004-01-12 10:17:35 AM
What is it with Germans and frogs?

/didn't RTA

CDW
2004-01-12 10:19:55 AM
hahahahahahaha nice ebell

2004-01-12 10:22:52 AM
Concur with jjorsett.

What are the power alternatives the greens are proposing? Bovine methane? I'm not a big fan of nuclear, but you have to have a practical, economical replacement or the discusssion is over.

/rabbit troop sucks

2004-01-12 10:26:20 AM
Build em underground. I for one welcome our molemen overlords.

2004-01-12 10:27:29 AM
I'll bet they can get some cheap fog machines left over from washed up '80s metal bands. Check eBay.

/refuse to RTA

2004-01-12 10:28:26 AM
Germans perfecting artificial fog to conceal fully packed east-bound trains. Oddly enough, they always return empty.

{slaps pornAd/ticket on hip, requests validation of ticket to hell}

2004-01-12 10:31:56 AM
Impossible! No plant that small has a cloaking device!

2004-01-12 10:32:48 AM
Did anyone else reading this article glean enough information to decide which plant to strike if so inclined? Geraldo Rivera surrenders.

2004-01-12 10:37:51 AM
If the fog were green and glowing, then I'd start to worry.

/Pops Iodine pills

2004-01-12 10:38:13 AM
"Ve vill hide it in ze fogbank!" Ja, dat us good idea!

2004-01-12 10:38:48 AM
Artificial fog might come in handy in war. Hmm, fog of war. What's that noise? Is that jackboots?

2004-01-12 10:41:25 AM
Perhaps they could make it radioactive fog that would destroy the planes entering their airspace.

Watch em glow!

2004-01-12 10:43:16 AM
Uh, this isn't 1943. Terrorists don't have to just rely on a compass and visualizing a target. Like someone else said, GPS much?

2004-01-12 10:46:19 AM
LucaBrasi, trickle down economics is working. The Keneysian Theory has turned into more of a law in industrial capitalist societies, and it clearly advocates trickle down economics.

apparently you're supposed to crash into the older ones since they explode easier. THANKS FOR THE TIP GERMANY!

2004-01-12 10:55:02 AM

a water particle disruption can only mean one thing

Serves the Germans right. WWII was pretty much their fault, and a lot of the reasons people would consider crashing a plane into a nuclear reactor stem directly or indirectly from that.

2004-01-12 10:56:30 AM
Chalk up another vote for the GPS rebuttal.

2004-01-12 10:58:02 AM
Instant Fog = Millions of dollars

Should launched Stinger Missle = couple a grand

Halitosis

Some fog machine contractor is going to be making a lot of deutchemarks.

Euros is more likely

2004-01-12 11:04:21 AM
hey line noise by that standard we should go after Eve since she caused everything!

2004-01-12 11:11:22 AM
Didn't the 9/11 hijackers even carry handheld GPS units? Apparently zee Germans didn't read their trusty Al Qaeda handbook

Fog THIS beootch.
