Cosby took to the talk-show circuit like he was supposed to, at which point he implored audiences to steer clear of this stinker

Other people who work for a living's careers could have been tied to that production, you overrated, self absorbed prick.

And what is Leo doing shiatting on Titanic? He wouldn't be anywhere without that melodramatic piece of shiat.

Just think. If Bill Cosby had promoted Leonard Part 6, it may have done much better!

I thought the Ed Norton Hulk film was pretty good and I'm glad they spent minimal time on his origin.

Why shiat on it? Because it was a farking low-class money grab to have a 3D re-release.

lol, wut? He was already fairly well known before Titanic and he wasn't shiatting on Titantic he was shiatting on a cash grab by a studio to bring Titanic in ...3D... 15 years after it was released. He should be applauded for shiatting all over that.

Yes, he got an Oscar nod for What's Eating Gilbert Grape? when he was 19. If they'd gone the 3D route in 1995 I could understand him doing the circuit. But why do it 15 years later when he's probably not going to make any more money off it? It's not like his star is falling. Besides, he actively tried to distance himself from the Titanic craze. Why would he reattach himself to it?

If promoting the movie isn't in their contract...and they've already gotten paid...and they think the movie sucks...so what? BFD.

From the article, it looks like David Hyde Pierce did the right thing. He did the voice for the fish guy in Hellboy, but thought the guy who did the actual acting should get the credit. So he asked his name be taken off the film and the other guy got full credit in the sequel. Good for Niles

These actors and directors saved us from boring talk show appearances -- why no Hero tag, subby?

BTW, if anyone is interested in more of Doug Jones' work (aside from the stuff he does with Guillermo Del Toro, which is a lot) do yourself a favor and check out The Butterfly Circus. He also has a minor role in Nuka Break Season 1. But really, just check out anything he's in. He's a damn talented dude.

1) That's going to matter on their resume? "Oh, Leonard Part 6? Right this way to your Oscar."
2) Most all the workers were ALREADY paid, so who gives a fark?
3) better to say it sucked then try and defend it or disappear. (See: Movie 43 and everyone who starred in it)

Comedians do pretty well aging up until the last few years.

I worship at the altar of Carlin but his last few years were documenting a man just yelling at clouds.

He was having a pretty good indie career before he got cast in Titanic; there's no reason he couldn't have worked his way up to his current level, the way that Johnny Depp has. It would have taken longer, but he could have done it. Personally, I think Titanic did more damage than good to Leo's career; it took him ten years to figure out what sorts of movies he should be making.

The real reason he wanted nothing to do with Titanic 3D is the same reason most people who worked on the film and with James Cameron want nothing to do with him: he's a self-obsessed prick who treats his actors very badly on set. Also, he and the studio made massive paydays on the film (Cameron admittedly only because he returned his salary for points when it look like the picture was going to collapse) but very little of that trickled down to the actors.

Hank Azaria was on recently with John Oliver (they're both in the new "Smurfs" movie) and they were both sort of winking at one another about how bad it was.

Let us not overlook the prolific Alan Smithee.

I don't think I've ever seen him promote one of his movies.

Keanu Reeves didn't even get his name in the credits in Freaked. Not sure what the story there was, but it's not like he only had a cameo.
