Did they really embed a video of people reading the article the video is embedded in?

I feel like I'm in a strange loop, like, did they really embed a video of people reading the article the video is embedded in?

'Cause it's weird.  I mean, the pictures weren't great and all, but when's the last time you saw a whale with ridges down its back like a member of crocodilia?

"From my vast knowledge and experience with whales and their skeletons, it is clearly a whale," Dr. Griggs wrote in an email to HuffPost."

I don't know whether to go with the "I can tell by the pixels" or "Stand back, I'm a whale biologist" bit here.

At one point the presence of a whale carcass as the result of natural causes was quite prominent.  Nantucket was famous for whales before they got into boats and went after them; they would wash up all the time.

To some degree it's news because it means that were seeing the remaining population actually live to a ripe old age.  It wasn't until the second half of the 20th century that whaling generally stopped being a mainstream industry and very much fell out of public favor.  Whales will live to be 80 years, so something like this kind of matters.
